FixedBets

Guild bets settled through the guild bank.

Run friendly bets inside your guild without spreadsheets or promises. Everyone stakes real gold into the guild bank, the addon keeps track of who bet what, and when the result is set the pool is split between the winners automatically.

How it works

1. Create a bet. Anyone in the guild can start one: a title, 2 to 10 options and an optional closing date and time (by default two days ahead at 12:00).
2. Place a stake. Open the guild bank, pick a bet and an option, and enter whole gold. The addon deposits the stake (plus a tiny 12 copper marker fee) and finds it in the bank's money log. Other players with the addon confirm it, so nobody can fake a stake.
3. Betting closes manually or at the closing time.
4. Set the result. The bet admin or the Guild Master picks the winner. Stakes that were never confirmed are rejected, and the pool is split in proportion to the winning stakes, like Twitch predictions. If nobody bet on the winner, or the bet is cancelled, everyone is refunded.
5. Pay the winners. The Guild Master and the treasurer ranks pay out by mail, by trade, or by marking a payout as paid. A Withdraw button in the guild bank panel pulls the unpaid total from the bank. Payments can be undone.

Good to know

• Every guild member who wants to see or join the bets needs the addon.
• The guild bank money log keeps only the 25 latest transactions. The addon scans it silently whenever anyone with the addon opens the bank, which keeps missed stakes rare.
• The client cannot fill in the trade money for you, so for trade payouts the payer types the amount and the addon detects the completed trade.
• The addon moves gold only when you click: a stake is deposited after you confirm it, and gold is withdrawn when you press Withdraw. For mail payouts you press Send yourself.

Privacy

The addon talks only on the GUILD and WHISPER addon channels and never sends anything outside your guild. Data is stored per guild in your SavedVariables.
