FishFry 1.2.0 - Forever Beta + TBC Anniversary

FishFry 1.2.0 focuses on Guide consistency, ordered waypoint routing, cleaner route handoffs, and stronger TomTom behavior across the Forever experience.

🧭 Normal Guide Waypoint Routing

The normal Forever Guide now uses the same ordered waypoint system introduced for Starter Assist.

• Current Guide phases can now offer Plot TomTom Route.
• Expanded Guide phases under All use the same ordered waypoint data.
• Waypoint entries follow the same order as the written Guide steps.
• Multi-location steps can use 1a, 1b, 2a, and similar labels where needed.
• The visible waypoint list and TomTom route are generated from the same canonical ordering.

Starter Assist and the normal Guide now follow the same waypoint-routing rules.

Zone Info remains reference-only and does not create ordered routes.

🗺️ Smarter Route Entry for Skyborne

Skyborne handoff instructions are no longer embedded inside the shared Stormwind and Thunder Bluff Guide phases.

The normal faction routes are now kept clean and race-neutral.

When needed, Skyborne characters receive a separate Route Entry section before joining the shared Guide:

Alliance

The Alliance handoff covers the transition from Zephras Isle into the Elwynn / Stormwind route.

Horde

The Horde handoff covers the transition from Zephras Isle into the Thunder Bluff route.

Route Entry:

• appears only when relevant;
• disappears once the character reaches the shared route;
• uses ordered waypoint entries;
• supports Plot TomTom Route where the route can currently be navigated.

A non-Skyborne character will not receive Skyborne handoff instructions simply because they are using the same Stormwind or Thunder Bluff Guide phase.

🧹 Cleaner Guide Layout

The Forever Current Guide received another presentation cleanup.

Removed the redundant:

• Current detected step heading;
• separator beneath it;
• explanatory note above the Starter Assist control.

The Starter Assist control now sits directly beneath Current / All, keeping the top of the Guide focused on the controls and information that actually matter.

🗺️ TomTom Route Reliability

FishFry's TomTom integration received additional safeguards for new Forever maps such as Zephras Isle.

Single Waypoints

Individual Set TomTom actions once again use TomTom's own waypoint command path, allowing TomTom to resolve its preferred map identity instead of FishFry forcing a Blizzard map ID into it.

Using a single FishFry waypoint also releases any active FishFry-managed route so the route controller cannot reclaim the arrow afterward.

Ordered Routes

Ordered FishFry routes now:

• use TomTom's own current-map information where appropriate;
• avoid activating a route whose first stop cannot currently be navigated;
• safely release route control if a later stop cannot be reached from the current world map;
• validate stored TomTom waypoint handles before attempting to remove them;
• avoid leaving stale FishFry route state after TomTom waypoints are cleared;
• keep FishFry-created route waypoints non-persistent.

This fixes cases where an unreachable cross-world waypoint could leave TomTom's arrow hidden and interfere with later waypoint use on Zephras Isle.

👋 Quick Start Can Be Reopened

Added an Open Quick Start button at the bottom of Forever Options.

This lets an existing character reopen the Quick Start screen at any time without resetting their saved Guide choice or changing the normal once-per-character startup behavior.

Quick Start also points players back to this Options control if they want to revisit it later.

🎣 Guide Cleanup

Forever's Guide now has a clearer separation between three different jobs:

• Starter Assist - the complete fresh-character journey from the character's starting area.
• Route Entry - a short conditional handoff when a character needs help joining the shared faction route.
• Normal Guide - shared Fishing + fish-Cooking progression after that handoff.

This avoids duplicating entire Guide routes for different races while still allowing special starting experiences such as Skyborne to join the main progression cleanly.
