What's new
FishFry 1.1.1 — Forever Beta
FishFry 1.1.1 expands the Forever beta build with major HUD usability improvements, a much more capable Campsite Assist system, stronger lure handling, improved Starter Assist routing, and additional Forever fishing/cooking data.
✨ Added
Added Campsite Assist as the expanded Campfire HUD workflow. (!!!!-> WORK IN PROGRESS <-!!!!)
- Supports the current catalog of 38 known Forever campsite objects.
- Organizes campsite objects into compact profession-based columns.
- Shows only profession columns relevant to professions the character actually knows, while retaining Camp + Utility.
- Keeps one persistent logical entry per campsite object and automatically switches that entry between Place and Craft behavior.
- Place mode uses Left Click to place the finished object, with Shift+Left Click for Craft 1 and Ctrl+Left Click for Craft All when crafting is available.
- Craft mode uses Left Click for Craft 1 when requirements are met.
- Keeps the selected campsite object selected when its state changes instead of silently switching to another object.
- Shows ingredient requirements and current inventory counts directly in FishFry tooltips.
- Counts ingredients stored in Forever's equipped reagent/profession bags as well as normal bags.
- Uses profession skill, required rank, and known ingredient availability to determine craft readiness without letting unreliable beta recipe-ownership reporting incorrectly block a ready craft.
- Uses strict semantic borders: green = usable/ready, red = blocked, yellow = genuinely unknown.
Added Cooking and Fishing profession shortcuts to Cook Fish.
- Ctrl+Left Click opens Cooking without starting a craft.
- Alt+Left Click opens Fishing without starting a craft.
Added additional Forever lure support, including:
"Secret" Bait- Flesh Eating Worm
- Wide-Brimmed Fishing Hat lure use
- Updated Aquadynamic Fish Attractor behavior and requirement data
Added and expanded Forever fishing/cooking reference data, including current beta records for:
- Fish Bowl
- Fishing Rack
- Fishing Hut
- Empty Bait Cage
- Fishing glove enchant data
- Bitter Baitling
- Master Angler's Fishing Hat
- Primitive Fishing Pole reference data
- Whimsyfin and its recipe
- Plated Armorfish recipe
- Briny Seafood Stew recipe
- Spinefin Halibut
Added current Forever fishing-food bonus metadata for Loch Frenzy Delight, Fillet of Frenzy, Bristle Whisker Catfish, Rockscale Cod, Filet of Redgill, and Spinefin Halibut.
🔄 Changed
Reworked Lure selection and presentation.
- Best/Route now choose the strongest lure the character can actually use at their current base Fishing skill.
- Manual Picks remain independent from automatic lure choice.
- Conserve continues to prefer weaker usable lures intentionally.
- Unusable detected lures remain visible instead of disappearing.
- Usable lures are shown first, strongest to weakest, with unavailable choices retained below them.
- Lure flyout borders now consistently use green for usable, red for unusable, and yellow for unknown.
- Active-lure expiry warnings remain yellow/orange instead of incorrectly making an otherwise usable lure look blocked.
Improved Starter Assist and coordinate actions.
- Manual Starter Assist path choices now persist through
/reload, relog, and the current Forever beta SavedVariables cold-start workaround. - Choosing Current clears the manual override and returns to automatic race/region detection.
- The Starter Assist selector remains open through normal Guide refreshes instead of disappearing during unrelated state updates.
- Forever's native map waypoint system is now the default coordinate action where supported.
- TomTom, HandyNotes, and plain-coordinate modes remain available.
- Replaced the empty Zephras Isle Starter Assist/Zone Info scaffold with the current Shen'dar Village Cooking and Valanaar Fishing/supply path.
- Manual Starter Assist path choices now persist through
Improved HUD flyout behavior.
- Opening a flyout dims the rest of the HUD while keeping the active flyout and its owning button at full opacity.
- Left- or right-clicking away from an open HUD flyout closes it without changing the current selection.
- Campsite columns use tighter vertical spacing so they read more clearly as categories instead of a loose grid.
Improved Campsite Assist presentation.
- FishFry helper tooltips use named reagents instead of exposing unresolved raw item IDs when current beta data can identify the ingredient.
- Helper tooltip width is aligned to the attached native item tooltip for a more consistent stacked presentation.
- Faction Banner is grouped under Tailoring rather than Camp + Utility.
Expanded Stormwind Zone Info lure inventory information for Catherine Leland, including Nightcrawlers and Aquadynamic Fish Attractors.
🛠️ Fixed
- Fixed Forever structured Fishing loot handling so one Fishing cast/loot window is credited once instead of producing duplicate catch credit or floating text.
- Fixed real multi-quantity Fishing loot aggregation.
- Fixed Campsite placement state so an already-detected finished campsite object in the player's bags is treated as placeable without depending on an unreliable transient item-usability result.
- Fixed Campsite ingredient counts when Forever returns unresolved or misleading internal schematic reagent IDs.
- Fixed false zero reagent counts caused by name-based item counting by using FishFry's shared inventory snapshot.
- Fixed the shared inventory snapshot so equipped Forever reagent/profession bags are scanned in addition to the backpack and normal bags. Bank and reagent-bank storage are intentionally not counted.
- Fixed Campsite craft readiness so meeting the known profession/rank and ingredient requirements is treated as ready even when the beta client cannot reliably verify recipe ownership.
- Fixed lure flyout selection/status presentation so selected, usable, blocked, and unknown states no longer overwrite one another incorrectly.
📅 Planned Follow-up
- Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Tournament: FishFry's tournament information is planned for another validation/update pass when the tournament is available again on Sunday, September 27, 2026, or early Monday, September 28 after testing is complete.
