FishButton

FishButton: one key fishing for WoW: Forever

FishButton turns fishing into a single key. Press it to cast, listen for the splash, and press it again to reel in your catch. The fish goes straight into your bags.

Features

• One key to cast and loot. Your fishing key (F by default) casts your line. While the bobber is out, the same key clicks it for you when you're ready.
• On-screen fishing button. A button you can click or bind, which glows while your line is in the water.
• Only shows when you need it. The button and key only turn on while a fishing pole is equipped. Swap back to your weapon and your normal keybinds return.
• Louder splash. While you fish, sound effects go up and music and ambient sounds go down, so you won't miss a bite. Your settings go back to normal when you stop.
• Missed-cast ding. A chime plays when a cast ends with no fish, so you know to cast again.
• Auto loot. Turned on for you, so catches skip the loot window.
• Options window. Shift + right-click the button to change your key, toggle features, test the sound, or reset the button's position.
• Fixes itself. If the key ever gets out of sync, for example after you get attacked mid-cast, FishButton fixes it automatically.

How to use

1. Equip your fishing pole.
2. Press F (or click the button) to cast.
3. When you hear the splash, press F again.

Commands

• /fishbutton options: open the options window
• /fishbutton key G: change your key (mouse buttons work too, e.g. BUTTON4)
• /fishbutton fix: reset the key if something seems off
• /fishbutton status: show what the addon is doing

Fair play
FishButton never fishes for you. It doesn't detect bites or press anything on its own. You still listen for the splash and press the key yourself, so it stays within Blizzard's addon rules.
