Fish & Tips keeps the books while you fish: every catch tracked by where you caught it, and the bobber looted for you. Run Auctionator? It also shows what your session is worth, live, while you're still standing in the pool.

• Per-location catch tracking. Stand at any fishing spot and see everything you've ever pulled out of it, for one character or your whole Warband, with casts and fish per hour alongside. Hover a fish for its tooltip, shift-click to link it in chat, scroll the list with the mouse wheel. Gray junk sinks to the bottom of the list, so the fish you care about stay on top. Hide it entirely with one toggle; it stays tracked either way.
• Fishing-only auto-loot. Click the bobber and everything is looted for you. Mobs and chests are left alone. Because the addon does the looting itself, your counts stay exact; no fish slips past the counter. Turn auto-loot off and it still tracks everything, it just stops grabbing.
• Smart sessions. The session list follows you from pool to pool instead of emptying out when you fly to the next zone. The timer pauses when you stop fishing, so a dinner break doesn't wreck your fish per hour (flying between pools still counts). After a long break your next cast starts a fresh session; you pick the rule: inactivity, zone change, both, or manual only. Survives a /reload.
• Live session gold. Fish to sell? With Auctionator installed, every fish shows what your stack is worth at current auction prices, plus a running session total in the footer. No alt-tabbing to a spreadsheet.
• Rare catch alerts. Reel in something rare or better and you get a short fanfare and a clickable chat line. You fish by ear; it tells you when to look down. Raise the bar to epic-only or mute it in the options. The first fish of a kind you've ever caught gets a quiet New! tag in the list.
• Cast your way. A keybind, the classic double-right-click on the water, both, or off (the default). Pick a mode in the options; casting runs through Blizzard's standard secure bindings.

The stats window opens with /ft or from the minimap's addon drawer: left-click for the window, right-click for options. Prefer a dedicated minimap button? Turn it on in the options. The window can also open itself when you start fishing and tuck itself away when you stop; anything you opened yourself stays put.

Plays by the rules

Nothing happens without your click. Your keypress or double-click casts, your bobber click opens the loot, and the addon writes down what that window offered. No automation, no AFK fishing, no splash detection. You fish, it keeps the books.
