v1.3-forever
What's new
First Aid Kit 1.3
New: class cures
- If your class can cure poison or disease, the anti-venom and poultice slots now hold that spell: Purify and later Cleanse for paladins, Cure Disease and Abolish Disease for priests, Cure Poison and Cure Disease for shamans, Cure Poison and Abolish Poison for druids.
- A spell goes in ahead of the items, since it costs nothing and works in combat. Right-click the slot to switch to an anti-venom or poultice (or another spell, like a shaman's cleansing totems). If what you chose runs out, the slot goes back to your spell.
- A poultice slot holding a spell stays usable in combat.
- The "Cure what's on me" key uses your spell too. In combat it uses the anti-venom slot, or your disease spell if that slot is empty.
- Your spell casts on a friendly target if you have one, otherwise on you.
New: magic and curse cures
- Classes that can remove magic or curses get a slot for it with the other cures: Cleanse or Dispel Magic, Remove Curse or Remove Lesser Curse. One slot covers both, since no class has both. It lights up blue for magic and purple for curses, and the Cure key uses it.
Changes: round layout
- Round the satchel, the slots now sit in two halves: your left pick, mana, healing potion, bandage and right pick over the satchel, and the cures under it: tourniquet, magic/curse, anti-venom, poultice.
- Without a magic or curse spell, the three cures close up round the bottom, with anti-venom straight down as before.
- On a screen edge the cures take the first line and the other five the second, in the same order. Your left pick moves from the cures' line to the other one.
New: "Cures in a row" layout
- A second layout, set per character in settings (Slot layout) or with
/fak layout line(/fak layout ringgoes back). - Your picks, mana, healing potion and bandage sit in an arc over the satchel. Under a gold line, your cures sit in a row: tourniquet, magic/curse, anti-venom, poultice.
- On a screen edge the gold line runs between the cures and the rest.
- Round the satchel stays the default.
First Aid Kit 1.2
New
- Layout direction: up (as made), down, left or right while the satchel floats on its own. In settings, or
/fak face up|down|left|right. Docked on the pin with other kits it stays the usual way up, so the merged layout doesn't change. - Choice drawers (right-click a slot) open in combat too. In combat a drawer closes by itself a moment after the mouse leaves it: 0.5 seconds to start, adjustable from 0.2 to 2 in settings.
- Setting to hide the Recently Bandaged timer (beside the bandage slot, and by the satchel on a screen edge). On by default.
Changes
- The Kits minimap button (with two or more kits) is now a chest, and every kit's minimap button is a little smaller, the same size as other addons' buttons.
- Round slots are now the default. Updating switches you to round once; turn off "Round slots" in settings for square bag slots.
- First Aid Kit now runs on Kit Core, the code all the kits share (Warlock Kit too). It looks and works as before; the settings panel has the same options, a little reordered.
- The satchel's tooltip hides while you drag it.
First Aid Kit 1.1
New: screen edges
- Drag the satchel to any side of the screen and it sits against it. Open, its slots come off it in two lines of 4 toward the middle of the screen: your cures and left pick nearest, then bandage, potions and your right pick.
- The First Aid button stays on the satchel, on the side facing the middle of the screen.
- Closed, anything you've pinned keeps its place in those same lines.
- While Recently Bandaged is on you, a timer for it shows by the satchel.
- Pickers open toward the middle of the screen.
- A gold line lights up on the edge while you drag a kit close enough to snap to it.
Changes
- Docked kits always stay their normal size instead of shrinking, so the "Full-size kits when docked" option is gone. Each kit's own Size setting still applies.
Fixes
- A pinned empty pick slot now stays showing with the satchel closed, ready for something to be dropped in.
- Dragging a kit onto an open kit, or an open kit onto another, no longer makes kits disappear: whatever's open closes and they merge as usual.
- When a third kit joins the dock or one leaves it, the others no longer swap sides.
