Description
First Aid Kit
Forever adds a few new First Aid supplies like tourniquets and poultices, and still had anit-venoms, and the bandages and potions you already create and carry. Giving each one its own action bar button adds up quickly. This adds a little first aid satchel to your screen to contain all those things in one place. Click it and your supplies fan out in a ring around it. Click again and they tuck away.
What’s in the satchel
- Above: mana potion (or Thistle Tea / Rage Potion), healing potion, bandage
- Below: tourniquet, anti-venom, poultice
- Left and right: two “your pick” slots for anything else you want handy, like food, elixirs or Free Action Potions
- Underneath: a small First Aid button that opens your profession window for crafting
Each slot allows you to pick which version of that item type you want to use - like different levels of anti-venom. It will automatically switched to a different type when the one you have selected runs out.
Cure Alert
When a poison, disease or bleed you can cure lands on you, the matching slot glows. If the kit is closed, that one slot pops out by itself. The poison one works in combat, while the other two wait until you've left combat to alert you (because they can only be used outside combat anyway)
Make it yours
- Right-click a slot to choose which item it holds.
- Drag any consumable onto a “your pick” slot, or right-click it to pick from what you’re carrying.
- Shift-right-click a slot to keep it showing even when the kit is closed.
- Drag the satchel anywhere and resize it in settings.
- Key bindings for every slot, plus a Cure key that uses whatever cure you need right now.
- Minimap button, and options under Esc > Options > AddOns.
Combat
Blizzard locks addon buttons during combat, so First Aid Kit works within that. By default the kit opens when a fight starts and closes after. Tourniquets and poultices can’t be used in combat, so they grey out, and anything you’ll need afterwards stays marked. Anti-venom works in combat as usual.
Commands
/fak opens settings. /fak help lists everything else.
