Figurants: Name the NPCs behind your ground markers

Figurants is a roleplay addon for Dungeon Masters. Place ground markers and turn each one into an NPC your whole party can see: a name, a health bar, an attitude and, if needed, a boss skull.

For the Dungeon Master

• Place and remove ground markers in one click
• Give each marker a name, health, an attitude (hostile, neutral or friendly) and a boss status
• Changes are shown to your players in real time
• Shift-click a marker to insert its name and icon into the chat
• Save your NPCs and load them again in a later session

For Players

Nothing to do: a small window opens on its own as soon as the DM places a marker, and only shows the NPCs currently on the ground.

Getting started

Type /figurants or click the minimap button. The party or raid leader (and raid assistants) get the DM window; everyone else gets the player window.

COMPATIBILITY

Figurants works alongside NPCsMarkers: a DM using one and players using the other can play together without any setup. If you already use NPCsMarkers, Figurants will go to sleep and leave NPCsMarkers the priority to avoid any issues.

CREDITS

Figurants is an independent rewrite inspired by NPCsMarkers by Zax, which is no longer maintained on a regular basis. It keeps the same features in a lighter, easier-to-maintain package. It is not affiliated with the original author.
