The Leveling Guide shows the next thing to do in plain words: a verb, a target and a place, for example "Accept Wildmane Totem from Grull Hawkwind, Mulgore (45, 78)". Routes start in your race's starting zone and then join shared routes for your faction. Class trainers and class quests appear only for your class. Steps complete only when the game shows you've done them. Reaching a waypoint never completes or skips a quest step. Progress is saved per character and survives reloads and updates.
You choose one of three rulesets:
- PvE is the fastest. It includes optional deathskips, a faster 22–30 route and transport shortcuts.
- Hardcore never routes you through dying, spirit rezzes or graveyards. It uses roads, flight paths, boats and zeppelins, and a hearthstone bound in advance, and it avoids contested zones when filling gaps.
- PvP goes into contested zones as one quick trip each. When an enemy player attacks you, the arrow switches at once to the nearest escape (a guard town, flight master, outpost or water). After three enemy players in two minutes, or a PvP death, it offers a Branch to a quieter hub of the same level.
The guide adapts to how far ahead you are. When rested XP, food, perks or other bonuses put you ahead of the route, it drops low-value steps, such as gap-fill grinds, optional quests that give little XP for the time, and quests that will be grey by turn-in. It never drops class quests, chain steps, quests a later step needs, or quests already in your log. /fennick why lists what was skipped and why. Boost reminders are one quiet line and are never used for you. These cover XP food before kill-heavy hunts, Archmagister's Wisdom before Undead hunts, and the sleeping bag at breaks.
Key features
- Routes for Tauren, Undead, Orc/Troll, Gnome/Dwarf, Human and Night Elf start zones. The Forever Skyborne races are covered too: Windshaper uses the Tauren route and High Order uses Westfall. An unknown race gets a route for its faction.
- Step checks:
- Accept, turn-in and objective steps check the quest log.
- Train steps check that you know the spell.
- Vendor, trainer, flight, bank, stable and bind steps complete only after you use the NPC named on the step.
- Arrow on every step:
- Hunt steps use a patrol loop of spawn points.
- The waypoint is set again after combat, zone changes or if TomTom drops it.
- Steps without exact coordinates are marked "approx.".
- All 75 bind and hearth steps are checked against friendly innkeepers.
- Loadout focus picks the quest reward:
- Choose your fighting style, such as two-handed, dual wield, caster, healer or feral. The list shows only styles your class can use.
- When a quest offers a choice you get one line, "Reward: Pick <item>", and no other gear advice.
- Professions: the guide never recommends one. It shows tips only for professions you trained or picked.
- Optional quest helpers, all off by default: auto-accept, auto turn-in and auto-select quest chat.
- They work only for quests on your route and never in combat. Hold Shift to bypass them.
- They never choose a reward item for you.
- Extras: XP per hour, named profiles, keybinds (skip, back, on/off, settings, escape), and hiding in combat or in instances.
- Step notes translated into all 10 languages (machine translation, labelled).
Requirements: Fennick's Beast Core. Optional: TomTom (arrow), Questie (quest data and more detailed steps for the Human and Night Elf routes), LibDBIcon-1.0.
Slash commands (under /fennick): skip, back, list, lvl <n>, hide, rules PvE|PvP|HC, class <CLASS>, route <name>, branch, main, escape, loadout, noauto, restore, prof detected|none|<list>, config, toggle, debuglog.
