The Beast Core is the part every Fennick module plugs into. It provides the Focus window, the waypoint arrow (a built-in one, or TomTom if you have it), the first-run setup, Settings, a minimap button and a monster tooltip. Install it alone for the tooltip and frame tools, or add any modules you like. The Beast Core has no leveling content of its own.
The Beast Core makes the modules work together. You choose which module has focus, or set Auto. The focused module owns the arrow. In Auto, the first module with something to do takes it, and the others add one short line each. All Fennick commands live under one command, and /fennick help lists every word your installed modules add.
The monster tooltip is small and useful. It shows level range, elite or rare status, health when known, quests in your log or on your route, notable and quest-starting drops, and cloth for humanoids. With Leveling installed, it also shows XP per kill and kills to level. Each line can be turned off, the tooltip stops at 8 lines, and it uses hooks only so it doesn't cause taint.
Key features
- Focus window with a module picker: one module, or Auto.
- One arrow only: built-in or TomTom (silent). Fennick removes only its own TomTom waypoints and never touches TomTom in combat.
- Minimap button: left-click shows or hides the window, Shift-click turns the focused module on or off, right-click opens Settings, and you can drag it to move it.
- UI matching:
- Blizzard, ElvUI (read only), Objective Tracker size or Custom.
- Text-size offset; the font face never changes.
- Pixel-perfect borders.
- Live re-layout after UI scale, resolution, Edit Mode layout or text-size changes; in combat it waits until combat ends.
- Look: teal and gold by default, or dark or minimal styles. Colour-blind colours. Masque and LibSharedMedia (bar, border and background media) are used if installed.
- Frame moving through Edit Mode (saved per layout) or
/fennick move. Positions are saved per profile or per character. - Monster tooltip, up to 8 lines, each line can be turned off. Off in combat by default.
Requirements: none. Optional: TomTom, LibDBIcon-1.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0, Masque. Edit Mode support uses LibEditMode by p3lim (included).
Slash commands: /fennick, /beast or /fbc, with setup, move, move reset, why, focuson <module|auto>, minimap, debug, help.
