FatDadFashion is a free TBC Anniversary gear-planning addon designed to answer one question quickly: What should I farm next?

Instead of digging through spreadsheets, dozens of Wowhead tabs, or generic BiS lists, FatDadFashion reads your character, class, spec, professions, equipped gear, GearScore, and selected gearing phase to show upgrades that actually make sense for your character.

It combines an easy-to-read Top 3 gear suggestor with a full Upgrade Planner that helps you identify the most rewarding dungeon or raid to run next.

Features

Top 3 Upgrade Suggestor

Hover your equipped gear to instantly see your Top 3 recommended upgrades for that slot.

Each recommendation can include:

• Full in-game item tooltip
• Item stats
• Source type
• Dungeon or raid name
• Boss name
• Vendor source and price when applicable
• BiS ranking
• Profession requirements
• Phase-specific recommendations

Recommendations are displayed in a clean triangle layout for quick comparison.

Already have the #2 item equipped? FatDadFashion automatically removes worse options and shows only upgrades that are actually better.

Upgrade Planner / Shopping List

The Upgrade Planner goes beyond a traditional BiS list.

Instead of simply telling you which items are best, it ranks the content most worth running for your character right now.

FatDadFashion considers:

• Your current GearScore
• Character level
• Class
• Spec
• Equipped gear
• Remaining upgrades
• Number of useful drops in each dungeon or raid
• Individual drop chances
• Number of Top 3 targets available
• Content difficulty and GearScore readiness
• Profession eligibility

The result is a clear RUN NEXT recommendation showing where you are most likely to receive meaningful upgrades.

Click Any Dungeon or Raid

Select a recommended dungeon or raid to see every eligible upgrade available there, not only your Top 3 BiS items.

Your highest-priority targets are clearly marked:

• TARGET #1
• TARGET #2
• TARGET #3

Secondary upgrades are still shown, allowing you to see the full value of a run before committing your time.

Phase-Based Gear Planning

Browse your progression by gearing phase:

• Pre-Raid
• Phase 1
• Phase 2
• Phase 3

Phase 3 includes current Hyjal Summit and Black Temple progression while preserving earlier raid upgrades that may still be valuable.

This makes FatDadFashion useful whether you are freshly level 70, preparing for your first raid, catching up on an alt, or optimizing an established character.

GearScore-Aware Recommendations

A theoretically perfect drop is useless if the content is far beyond what your character is ready to run.

FatDadFashion separates:

You can still browse locked or higher-tier content without allowing it to overwhelm your current gearing recommendations.

Class and Equipment Safety

FatDadFashion filters recommendations before they are ranked.

The addon checks equipment proficiency so you do not get nonsense recommendations such as:

• Plate for Rogues
• Leather for Priests
• Mail for classes that cannot use it
• Shields for incompatible classes
• Weapons your class cannot equip
• Class-incompatible equipment

The same eligibility system is shared across the Character suggestor and Upgrade Planner.

Profession-Aware Gear

Profession-restricted equipment is only recommended when it is relevant to your character.

For example, gear requiring Leatherworking 350 will not appear for a character that does not have the required profession selected.

This prevents profession-only crafted items from polluting otherwise useful BiS lists.

Intelligent Owned-Gear Filtering

FatDadFashion does not blindly display static lists.

If you already own or equip one of the recommended items, lower-ranked replacements are automatically removed when appropriate.

The goal is to show real upgrades, not repeatedly tell you about gear you have already surpassed.

Real WoW Item Tooltips

Where item data is available, FatDadFashion uses the WoW client's native item information to display accurate:

• Stats
• Sockets
• Set bonuses
• Item level
• Armor type
• Equip effects
• Use effects
• Vendor information

The item system uses verified numeric item IDs rather than unsafe name-based queries, reducing server query errors and incorrect item resolutions.

Spec-Aware Recommendations

FatDadFashion detects and supports gearing recommendations based on your active class and talent specialization.

The interface clearly displays the spec currently being evaluated so you can verify that the addon is building recommendations for the correct character setup.

Pre-Raid, Raid BiS, and PvP Views

Choose the type of gearing you care about:

FatDadFashion updates the recommendation engine to match your selected goal.

Low-Memory UI

The Upgrade Planner is designed to remain lightweight even as the gear database grows.

Instead of creating hundreds of permanent UI frames, FatDadFashion uses a small pooled interface:

• Limited reusable dungeon/raid rows
• Limited reusable item rows
• Lazy item loading
• Tooltips loaded only when needed
• Planner data released when the interface closes

You get a detailed gear-planning interface without turning the addon into a memory hog.

Clean Character Panel Integration

FatDadFashion integrates directly with the Character window.

Your GearScore and Shopping List button are positioned near your character information for quick access without adding another permanent screen element.

Data Philosophy

FatDadFashion uses independent gearing research based primarily on publicly available information from sources such as Wowhead and Icy Veins, combined with in-game item data.

The goal is not to invent another arbitrary GearScore-based BiS formula.

The addon uses established gearing recommendations as the foundation, then adds its own character-state filtering, progression awareness, content ranking, profession checks, ownership detection, and farming intelligence.

The FatDad Standard

FatDadFashion is built around the same philosophy as the rest of FatDad AddOns:

The addon should do the thinking about the addon so you can do the playing.

It is designed for players who want strong gearing decisions without turning World of Warcraft into spreadsheet management.

Free Means Free

FatDadFashion is free.

There is no premium gear database, paid BiS tier, subscription, or intentionally crippled free version.
