Fame & Fortune changelog

Each release gets a heading with its version. CurseForge shows this file as the release's changelog, and the release workflow won't publish a version without an entry here.

1.2.0

Paste on the website, or upload instead of pasting:

  • The code box says where the code can go: the guild website at fameandfortune.net/paste, or Discord with /ff import as before. When you press Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac) it says "Copied" and what to do next.
  • Each time you log out or /reload, the add-on saves a ready-made code in its saved data file. The website can upload that file, and the optional desktop uploader sends it for you. Saving it doesn't count as making a code, so nothing is skipped in your next one. Turn it off with /ff save off.

1.1.0

One code for all your characters:

  • Make my code now covers every character on your account that has logged in with this version, not just the one you're on. An alt is included as it was at its last login.
  • Codes are much shorter: recipes go as id numbers, gear names only for new items, and news only since the code before last. A main with several alts and full recipe books fits in one paste. Making a code and forgetting to paste it once loses nothing.
  • /ff chars lists who's in your code, /ff skip <name> leaves a character out (a bank alt in another guild, say) and /ff include <name> adds it back.
  • Two tick boxes for the next code only, for when the bot asks: Resend the last two weeks and Send full recipe details.
  • Replaces the 1.0.0 test format, which made one code per character. The bot no longer reads those codes and asks you to update instead.

Loot master fixes from review:

  • Rolls close after 20 seconds: a /roll that arrives later doesn't count. The loot master window shows the seconds left.
  • An award made during encounter chat lockdown no longer loses its "goes to" announcement: it waits and is sent once lockdown ends. Only announcements the loot master clicked for are sent.
  • Without raid lead or assist, announcements go to raid chat instead of a raid warning that would fail (party chat outside a raid, as before).
  • Only one raid that never went into a code is kept for /ff raid code last. When a newer unsent raid replaces an older one, the add-on now says so in chat instead of dropping it silently.
  • /ff undo no longer errors on an award with no item name or winner.

1.0.0

First public release, for the WoW Forever launch.

  • /ff window: make the code you paste into Discord with /ff import.
  • Remembers level-ups, deaths, profession skill, recipes, equipped gear (item, item level, enchant and gems per slot, plus average item level), rare and epic world drops and dungeon runs between sessions.
  • Never reads bags, the bank or gold. Saved data from betas 1 and 2 that held crafting materials and the item names seen in bags is wiped on first login.
  • Reminds you in chat (at most every 30 minutes) when there's news to share.
  • Every time you take a flight, lists what's needed for a full import: profession windows still to open and a fresh code (when there's news, your gear changed, or the last code is over a day old). /ff flight off turns it off.
  • Loot master mode for officers: raid attendance, boss kills, soft reserve rolls and awards, recorded into a raid code. Record-only by default, so it can run beside other loot add-ons.
  • Read-only: it never sends anything by itself, never reads combat data and does nothing during combat.
