Fame & Fortune

Fame & Fortune is the companion add-on for the Fame & Fortune guild on WoW Forever. It keeps track of what you do in game and turns it into a code you paste into the guild's Discord bot with /ff import. The guild's roster, crafting directory, leaderboards and raid tools are built from those codes.

It's made for our guild's tools. You can install it anywhere, but the codes are only useful to the Fame & Fortune bot.

What it records

• Level-ups, deaths and time played
• Profession skill and every recipe you know (open each profession window once)
• Your equipped gear: the item in each slot, its item level, enchant and gems
• Rare and epic world drops
• Dungeon runs: which dungeon, how many bosses, and whether you cleared it

Everything stays on your computer until you copy a code and paste it yourself.

How to use it

1. Type /ff in game.
2. Click Make my code and press Ctrl+C.
3. In the guild Discord, type /ff import and paste.

When you have news to share, the add-on reminds you in chat, at most once every 30 minutes. Every time you take a flight, it lists what's left for a full import: profession windows to open, or a fresh code. /ff flight off turns that off.

Loot master mode (officers)

Officers running a raid can record attendance, boss kills and epic loot, run soft reserve and open rolls, and make a raid code for the bot. Record-only is the default, so it can run beside other loot add-ons without touching loot or speaking in chat. Commands: /ff lm on, /ff sr, /ff raid code.

What it doesn't do

• It never reads your bags, your bank or your gold. Gear is only what's equipped, which anyone can see by inspecting you.
• It never sends anything by itself: no add-on messages to the bot, no web requests.
• It doesn't read combat data or the combat log, and does nothing during combat.
• It doesn't automate play. Loot is awarded only when an officer clicks.

The Lua is readable and MIT licensed. Libraries: LibStub, CallbackHandler, AceSerializer and AceDB (Ace3 license) and LibDeflate (zlib license).
