EXwindtools & EXBoss English Patch is a companion addon for ExWindTools / EXBoss that improves the experience for non-Chinese users by translating the interface, boss/trash alerts, dungeon data, voice labels, and configuration pages into English/Spanish-friendly text while also forcing the EXBoss voice system to use an English voice pack.
This addon does not replace EXBoss. It works as a patch layer on top of it.

Main Features
- Translates EXBoss and Ex_WindTools UI text.
- Translates boss module pages, settings, buttons, tooltips, import/export panels, dungeon sections, and configuration screens.
- Translates many Chinese labels used in boss and Mythic+ data.
- Keeps translated text applied after reloads, zone changes, UI refreshes, and addon updates.
English Voice Pack Support
- Adds and registers a custom English voice pack: **Causese English**.
- Forces EXBoss to use the English voice pack instead of falling back to Chinese voices.
- Automatically re-applies the English voice pack after EXBoss updates.
- Fixes voice labels used by boss alerts and Trash CD alerts.
- Remaps EXBoss default voice labels to English sound files.
- Helps prevent voice settings from being reset to Chinese/default values after updates.
Boss Alerts
- Applies English voice labels to boss event alerts.
- Patches boss event configuration so voice triggers remain active when valid voice labels exist.
- Refreshes EXBoss runtime voice registration so boss voices are applied in-game.
- Supports EXBoss fixed timeline and Blizzard encounter event voice systems where available.
Trash CD Alerts
- Translates Trash CD spell names, timer text, center text, countdown text, and rename fields.
- Patches Trash CD voice settings so valid voice labels properly activate the voice pack.
- Supports cast-start voice alerts and countdown/pre-alert voice labels.
- Helps fix cases where Trash CD appears to have no voice source selected even when a voice label exists.
Patch Version Window
- Shows the patch version in the addon window.
- When a new patch version is detected, the window displays **New Patch** next to the version the first time you open the game.
- Useful after updating the addon so you can quickly confirm that the new patch loaded correctly.
Debug Tools
Includes simple slash commands to verify that the voice pack and EXBoss voice engine are working.

Opens the language / patch options window.
/exvoicetest
Runs a voice test using the English voice pack.
This checks:
- Whether EXBoss voice is enabled.
- Whether raid and dungeon voices are enabled.
- Which voice pack is selected.
- Whether LibSharedMedia has the sound registered.
- Whether the test sound can be resolved and played.
- How many boss event sounds are currently registered.
/exvoicedebug
Toggles extra voice debug output.
Useful when testing boss or Trash CD voice issues.

How To Use
1. Install **Ex_WindTools / EXBoss**.
2. Install this addon in your `Interface/AddOns` folder.
3. Launch the game or type `/reload`.
4. The patch loads automatically.
5. Open EXBoss and check the **Voice / Config** page.
6. The selected voice pack should be forced to **Causese English**.
7. Use `/exvoicetest` to confirm that the voice pack is working.
No manual import is required for the normal patch behavior.
Recommended After Updating EXBoss
Because EXBoss updates can reset or modify internal voice configuration, it is recommended to:
1. Update EXBoss.
2. Update this patch.
3. Enter the game.
4. Type `/reload`.
5. Run `/exvoicetest`.
The patch will automatically re-apply the English voice pack and refresh boss/trash voice settings.

Notes
- This addon is a compatibility and translation patch for EXBoss / ExWindTools.
- Some EXBoss systems are updated frequently, so this addon includes runtime patching to keep translations and voices applied after updates.
- If a sound test works but a specific boss/trash voice does not play, enable `/exvoicedebug` and check the chat output during the event.
- The addon keeps its own version display so you can verify which patch version is currently loaded.
