This release begins a multi-phase overhaul of the Chain Guide. Phase 1 makes it actionable — it now tells you what to do next, shows rich quest info on hover, and can be searched by name. (Phase 2 will add a real branching graph you can drag and explore; Phase 3, map integration with quest-giver pins and auto-advancing waypoints.) Expect more frequent updates than usual while the overhaul is underway.
New Features
- The Chain Guide shows your next step — Open any chain and Everything Quests highlights the next quest you should do: a gold border, a NEXT tag, and a Continue button that sets your course straight to it (super-tracking it if it's already in your log, or pointing you to where to pick it up). Opening a chain auto-scrolls to where you are.
- "On quest" tags — Quests currently in your quest log are tagged ON QUEST in the guide, so you can see at a glance what you're already carrying.
- Rich quest tooltips — Hovering a quest in a chain now shows its difficulty level, objectives, and rewards — including the same gear-upgrade comparison the tracker uses, so you can tell whether a reward beats what you're wearing.
- Search by name — The Chain Guide's find box now accepts a quest name as well as an ID, and matches questline names too, jumping to the chain that contains your search.
Improvements
- Clearer chain nodes — Each quest node now shows its difficulty level and ID, and a quest that's ready to turn in is highlighted in gold.
- Now available in Russian — Everything Quests has a full Russian (ruRU) translation, with updated French (frFR). The newly added Chain Guide text will be translated once the overhaul is complete.
Bug Fixes
- No more "action blocked" when getting directions in combat — Clicking a quest in the Chain Guide while in combat could trip a taint error as the world map retargeted (a protected map call during combat lockdown). The map now waits until you leave combat to open; the quest is still super-tracked immediately, so the on-screen objective arrow guides you right away.
