Right-click a player and give them a Commendation when they stand out as a great teammate. Encountered makes it easy to recognize helpful, skilled, or memorable players without needing to add them as a friend.
Players you’ve commended can be marked directly on their portrait with a gold icon. If you cross paths again later, Encountered gives you an instant visual reminder that you’ve had a positive experience with that player before.
Not every encounter is a good one. Mark players as Avoid and Encountered can display a warning icon on their portrait, helping you quickly recognize someone you may not want to group with again.
Encountered integrates into the WoW Social window and keeps a searchable list of the players you’ve met. Quickly see recent encounters, class information, notes, tags, and the people you’ve saved along the way.
Your Story gives you a broader look at your journey. Track players grouped with, dungeons and raids completed, bosses defeated, Commendations given and received, frequent teammates, milestones, and more.
Customize how Encountered works for you. Choose what groups are remembered, which notifications appear, whether portrait icons are shown, how Commendations work, social integration options, Kill on Sight alerts, and more.
Open a player’s Encountered record to see when you first met, where you last encountered them, how many times you’ve grouped together, your tags, private notes, and personal markers like Favorite, Avoid, or Kill on Sight.
After a dungeon or group run, Encountered can show everyone you adventured with and let you recognize the player who made the run better. Commend a great teammate before the group goes its separate ways.
Encountered isn’t only for friendly players. Track enemy-faction players you repeatedly run into, mark them as PvP Rivals, add private notes, and flag them as Kill on Sight so you remember exactly who they are the next time your paths cross.
See your received Commendations directly on the WoW Character panel. Encountered keeps your player reputation, Commendation history, and Player Card easy to access from a familiar part of the game UI.
