Encounter Log

Classic Era addon that remembers who you met, what happened, and what your group said.

World PvP and pickup groups in Classic live and die on memory. You pass the same rogue three times, lose a fight at the Crossroads, and later you cannot tell if they waved or if you already marked them Kill on Sight. Encounter Log keeps that record on this character.

World encounters

Players you see as a nameplate, target, or mouseover go into a scrollable log.

• Green = friend, red = enemy, gold = unknown
• Pass-by, fight, win or loss
• Emotes (wave, salute, laugh)
• Date, time, and zone
• Kill on Sight checkbox
• Notes as a list (* ganked me at XR)

Meet them again and a transparent toast shows when you last met and what happened. KoS names play a stronger alarm.

Right-click a name: whisper, friend / enemy / neutral, KoS, ignore, delete.

Search plus filters: All, KoS, Enemy, Notes.

Groups and dungeons

Party chat is saved as soon as you are grouped. No popup.

• Open world: World group – Barrens
• Instances start a run when you zone in
• Roster + party / raid chat
• Green, blue and epic dungeon loot, in item colors
• Last 10 groups kept
• Keep longer pins a run
• Delete run / Clear all

http / https links in party chat are clickable. A box opens with the URL selected so you can Ctrl+C and paste it in your browser. Addons cannot launch Chrome.

Minimap

Compass above the + zoom button. Left-click opens the log. Right-click hides it (/elog icon to restore).

Limits

Classic has no nearby-player list. A player is logged when they show a nameplate, are targeted, or are under the mouse. Your own name is ignored. Party members are not marked as enemies. Heals in group are not fights. Grey and white vendor trash is not logged.

Install

Put the EncounterLog folder in Interface/AddOns/, then /reload.
