EasyPug

Role and encounter assignments for PuG raids, done in seconds. EasyPug shows you who's in the raid and what role they're playing, lets you assign tanks, healers, and DPS to per-boss icon slots with a few clicks, and posts the finished plan straight to raid chat or as a raid warning - no more typing out assignments by hand or losing track of who's tanking which add.

Pick-up raids live and die on how fast the raid lead can get everyone sorted for a fight. EasyPug turns that into filling out a short form: pick the boss, assign names to roles, hit post.

Features

• Live raid roster - shows every group/raid member with their role (Tank/Heal/DPS). Role comes from whatever was already set when the group formed (e.g. via the Premade Groups finder), falls back to a class-based guess, and can always be corrected by hand. Your correction is remembered per player name.
• Per-boss assignment slots - each boss defines the roles it actually needs (e.g. "Tank for the Skull icon", "2 clickers per channeler", "healer per tank"). Dropdowns are filtered to the right role pool automatically, so you're never picking a healer for a tank slot by mistake.
• One click to post - send the full assignment to raid chat or as a raid warning (leader/assist only), formatted with the actual raid target icons. A separate "Post Tactics" button sends a short bullet-point phase summary for the boss, when one is available.
• Assignments persist - your picks are saved per boss and survive a /reload or relog, so you don't have to redo them if the UI closes mid-raid.
• Auto-detects the instance - opens straight to the right boss list when you're standing in a supported raid.
• Reset button - clears every slot for the current boss back to empty with one click when the roster changes.

How it works

Open the window, pick your instance and boss (or let it auto-detect), then assign raid members to the roles the encounter needs. Every dropdown only shows players with a matching role, so filling out a fight takes a handful of clicks. When you're happy with it, post it to chat and pull.

Commands

The window has two tabs: Encounter (the assignment planner, and the default view) and Roster (review/correct everyone's role).

Boss coverage

TBC Classic Phase 1/2 raids only (no Hyjal/Black Temple, no 5-man dungeons). Fully worked out so far: Magtheridon, High King Maulgar, Gruul the Dragonkiller, Netherspite. The rest of Karazhan, Serpentshrine Cavern, and Tempest Keep are registered and selectable, with their specific tactics being filled in over time.

Requirements

• WoW: The Burning Crusade Classic (tested on client 2.5.6 / Anniversary realms)
• No dependencies, no other addons required

Notes

• Nothing here requires other raid members to have the addon installed - only the person doing the assignment needs it; the result is posted as plain chat text.
• Roster and role detection work with regular groups too, not just full raids.
