Epeen — Inspection Queue & Cache Updates

Inspection queue window

The inspection queue and its graph are, of course, completely unnecessary — but since we can have them... o:)

  • Added a live inspection queue window showing queue order, player name, elapsed wait time, attempt count, and inspection status.
  • Inspection results remain visible for 5 seconds before fading out. Successful inspections are shown in green; requests that time out are marked Out of range in red.
  • The attempt counter updates as inspection requests are sent and keeps the total when a result is received.
  • Added a Fast mode toggle to use a 1-second delay between inspection requests instead of the normal 2 seconds. The game may still enforce its own limits; the setting resets when the queue window closes.
  • Manual inspections started with the game's Inspect command are prioritized, removed from Epeen's background queue, and kept from being interrupted by background requests while the game inspection window is open.

Live pending-scan graph

  • Added an optional graph below the queue window showing the number of pending and in-progress inspections over the last 60 seconds.
  • The graph updates live while visible, labels the current value at the end of the curve, and uses green, yellow, and red to indicate 1–3, 4–10, and 11+ outstanding requests.
  • The graph panel follows the queue window and is included when centering the docked queue window.

Window docking

  • The inspection queue window now supports magnetic docking, drag-and-drop movement, Alt-drag to move it freely, edge highlights while approaching a snap point, and animated snapping on release.
  • The queue window opens docked to the left of the Epeen menu by default. If the cache is docked next to the menu, the queue opens on the opposite side; the cache and queue also reposition to opposite sides when opened in either order.
  • Resizing a docked queue window keeps it centered vertically relative to its dock target.

Live cache counts

  • Cache entry counts in the Epeen menu and cache window now update when a new player is added or the cache is reset.
  • The cache list refreshes when open so newly added players appear without reopening the window.
  • Updates are event-driven; no periodic cache polling was added.

Performance

  • The queue table updates every 0.2 seconds while its window is open. The graph updates every 0.1 seconds only while visible.
  • Queue tracking and graph history are cleared when the queue window closes. Docking glows and snap animations only run during user interaction.
