What's new

Epeen – Patch Notes

Inspection reliability

  • Nameplate inspection requests are now only sent when the player is in inspect range and can actually be inspected, so out-of-range players no longer take up slots in the inspection queue.
  • Each player now has an increasing retry delay (3 s per failed attempt, capped at 60 s), so unresponsive players no longer get requested over and over.
  • Epeen no longer floods the queue on busy servers: with 10 or more pending inspections, only players without a cached score are queued, and at 18 or more no new background requests are added. This avoids the oldest requests being dropped and retried in a loop in crowded areas such as cities.
  • The Update button in the Armory now keeps its player at the front of the inspection queue until the inspection is sent, instead of being pushed back by newly queued nameplate players.

Inspection queue window

  • Successful inspections now stay visible for 10 seconds before fading out. Out of range entries stay visible for 5 seconds.
  • The list is now scrollable with the mouse wheel.
  • Added a scrollbar that can be dragged and reacts to mouse-over like the other scrollbars in Epeen (it uses your accent color while hovered). It only appears when the list is longer than the window.

Notes

  • Manual inspections started with the game's Inspect command are unchanged and still take priority.
