DuckMoo Character Folio

A TTRPG-inspired character folio for your WoW alt army, with character sheets, notes, tags, powerful roster filters, and optional All The Things integration. Because “which character was doing that?” should not require twelve loading screens.

DuckMoo Services: Character Folio
By DuckMoo Media

You have seventeen characters, six unfinished projects, three druids with suspiciously similar names, and absolutely no memory of which tailor was supposed to be making bolts.

Welcome to Character Folio. We brought a binder.

Inspired by tabletop RPG character sheets and those wonderful character folios with room for your adventurer’s entire questionable life choices, Character Folio gives your WoW characters somewhere to keep their identity, skills, plans, and personal nonsense.

The game remembers what boots you’re wearing. This remembers why you logged into this character in the first place.

YOUR CHARACTERS, WITH ACTUAL CHARACTER

Open the addon to your current character’s sheet: name, title, race, faction, guild, specialization, level, item level, stats, movement speed, hearthstone destination, and last recorded location.

Browse their professions, expansion skills, specialization investments, known titles, and encountered reputations. Offline characters retain their last recorded information, so you can consult their sheets without summoning them through another loading screen.

A NOTEBOOK FOR THE LORE AND THE LOGISTICS

Keep separate notes for Purpose & Plans, Adventuring, Professions, and Backstory. Write down what you’re building, what you’re farming, where those knowledge points are going, or why this particular death knight has strong opinions about soup.

Notes save as you type, with an explicit Save button and saved feedback for those of us who have been personally victimized by unsaved text.

Assign common purpose tags or create your own. “Main,” “Legacy Farmer,” “Dual Gatherer,” and “Healer Main” are useful. “Emotionally Attached Despite Never Playing Her” is also a valid organizational strategy.

FIND THE RIGHT ALT FOR THE JOB

Need a Horde healer on an Oceanic realm? Someone with Outland Blacksmithing? Your character with the highest recorded Argent Crusade reputation?

The Warband roster lets you combine filters for class, faction, role, realm, region, profession, expansion skill, reputation, and tags. Search includes your notes, too.

Tank and healer filters include every character whose class can fill that role, putting characters last recorded in the matching specialization first.

Characters normally appear in collapsible realm groups. Sort by level progress, item level, name, or rested XP. A level shown as 82.13 means level 82 and 13% toward 83, because sometimes choosing your next alt requires slightly more precision than “one of the eighty-somethings.”

FIND THE HOLES IN YOUR PROFESSION EMPIRE

The Census page includes profession coverage from Classic through Midnight, including gathering, Cooking, and Fishing. See which expansion professions have recorded owners, which have gaps, and which need more scanning.

Coverage uses the characters you’ve recorded. An unscanned tailor remains a mystery, not evidence that your tailoring department has ceased to exist.

You also get counts by faction, class, race, profession, level band, realm, and tag. Finally, numerical evidence that your “small collection of alts” has become a municipal government.

OPTIONAL ALL THE THINGS INTEGRATION

With All The Things enabled, the ATT page highlights legacy dungeons and raids with the most remaining collection opportunities, plus zones with outstanding collectible quests.

The ATDART % Target picks the legacy dungeon or raid with the lowest recorded completion percentage. Tied targets are chosen randomly when you refresh the data. Let the binder choose your next expedition into the loot mines.

Legacy instance rankings exclude The War Within and Midnight. Results follow your ATT filters, and offline characters keep their last captured opportunities.

ATT is optional. If it isn’t enabled, the tab explains what to do. The rest of your folio works independently.

MAKE THE BINDER YOURS

Choose from eight themes, including purple, bright light mode, Azeroth, trans pride, lesbian pride, teal, crimson, and blue. Adjust background opacity, resize the window, and keep your preferred position.

If Concentration Planner is also loaded, a shortcut on your character sheet opens it. The two addons work independently.

GETTING STARTED

Open Character Folio with /folio, /dmfolio, or its book-shaped minimap button.

Log into each character with the addon enabled to record their information. Open each crafting profession and let its data load to capture expansion skills. Offline sheets show the last recorded snapshot, with an update timestamp.

For ATT opportunities, open All The Things, let its collection data prepare, then click Refresh opportunities in your folio.

Built for collectors, alt enthusiasts, profession gremlins, and anyone whose character-selection screen has become a filing problem.

Another awkwardly useful thing by DuckMoo Media, theoretically a book publisher, which sounds much more impressive than “one woman made her alts a binder.”
