What's new

v0.9.1

Core

  • New: Icons display style. Choose Bars (default) or Icons in the new Layout tab. In Icons mode each spell is shown as its icon with the time left underneath, the next one to drop off first. Icons blink and fade away before they expire, with an optional cooldown swipe. Rows (horizontal) or columns (vertical), with adjustable icon size, spacing, blink speed and column width.
  • New: per-character profiles. Each character now has its own settings, in a profile named after it. Your current settings are kept: every character starts from the settings you had before.
    • Pick another character's profile to share its settings (changes then apply to both).
    • Copy the settings of another profile into yours, to set up a new character in one click.
    • Create, delete or reset profiles (actions that overwrite or delete ask for a second click).
  • DoTs now land on the right enemy:
    • @mouseover and @focus macros: the DoT is shown on the enemy you actually cast it on, not on your current target.
    • A DoT cast while a friendly unit is targeted (your pet, a party member) is never shown on that friendly. When the game sends it to their target, DoTimer follows it there.
    • Inside instances enemy names are hidden from addons, so there DoTimer still assumes your current target.
  • Options window reorganized in 5 tabs: General, Layout, Bars, Icons and Profiles. The tab of the display style you are not using is dimmed, with a reminder at the top.
  • "Bar Length" is now "Block Width": it also sets the width of the name, health and damage lines in Icons mode.
  • Fixed: the "Spell Icons" option could look unticked when opening the options while it was on.
  • Huge thanks to natefleming, who wrote the Icons mode and the target fixes and shared them with DoTimer, and to everyone who suggested profiles!
