Added
- Automated Chat Alerts: DeSync can now automatically broadcast a warning message to your surroundings when a network timeout is detected. This is a crucial safety feature for group content and Hardcore realms.
- Smart Channel Routing: Choose to send alerts to
PARTY,RAID, orINSTANCE. Blizzard's modern API blocks automated messages to public channels likeSAYto prevent botting. DeSync now detects your group status and will gracefully skip sending a chat message if you are playing solo, relying purely on your audio/visual panic alerts instead. - Anti-Spam Throttle: Added a customizable throttle (default 60 seconds) to prevent chat spam if your connection is flickering rapidly.
- Custom Messages & Hardcoded Branding: Customize your warning text in the options. All broadcasted messages are automatically prefixed with
[DeSync]so teammates instantly know what is happening. - Simulation Testing: Added the
/desync testchat command. This allows you to safely trigger a full mock-alert (visual, audio, and chat broadcast) to ensure your settings are configured exactly how you want them. - Message Reset Button: Added a dedicated button in the options menu to instantly revert your custom chat message back to the localized default.
- Global Localization: Fully translated the new Chat Alert settings and default warning messages for German (deDE), Spanish (esES), French (frFR), Italian (itIT), Portuguese (ptBR), and Russian (ruRU) clients.
Changed
- Options Menu Layout: Reorganized the options panel to include the new "Chat Alerts" group, keeping the interface clean and intuitive.
- Slash Command Behavior: Typing
/desyncstill opens the options menu, but the handler has been upgraded to support arguments (like the newtestfunction).
Bug Fixes
- Mini-map Icon: Resolved an issue that was causing a LUA error when attempting to navigate to the Settings menu via the mini-map icon due to incorrect category type in Retail.
- Latency Thresholds: The "Home" and "World" latency thresholds were not updating correctly as the threshold value was set too high in the code, they now have correct, realistic values and will update correctly.
- FPS label: The "FPS" label was incorrectly showing two "::" instead of one.
