v0.5.6-forever
What's new
Unreleased
DaylightUI 0.5.6
Gradient experience and reputation bars, and a batch of tooltip, healer frame and trainer fixes.
New
- Experience bar: The experience and reputation bars now use gradients: your class's for experience, and one per standing (Hated to Exalted) for reputation, editable on the Gradients page. Switches to turn them off.
Changed
- Minimap: The addon drawer's tab no longer shows a tooltip
- Unit frames: While healer frames show your party or raid, the Party and Raid options grey out with a note and a button to the Healer Frames page
- Unit frames: Healer frames now always show your party as well as your raid; the confusing "In a party too" switch is gone
Fixed
- Minimap: Clicking an addon button in the drawer no longer throws an error
- Unit frames: Healer frames: /dui test raid now previews the raid tiles with their own settings and place, and setting changes show in the preview right away
- Quality of life: Train all at class trainers now counts and learns your skills instead of always showing 0
- Tooltips: Position: Mouseover (renamed from Follow the cursor) works again; tooltips at the game's usual spot now follow your mouse
- Tooltips: With Fade out off, a tooltip for something in the world now vanishes the moment you mouse off it, instead of lingering and fading slowly
- Tooltips: Hide unit tooltips in combat works again
DaylightUI 0.5.5
See what a spell will cost on your power bar, and Cooldown Manager buff bars in Daylight's style.
New
- Unit frames: Power cost preview: while you cast, the mana, rage or energy the spell will use is shaded on the end of your power bar, so you can see what you'll have left
- Unit frames: The cost preview also shows while Heroic Strike, Cleave or Maul is queued for your next swing
- Unit frames: The shade follows your frame's slanted edges; its colour and strength (or turning it off) are in the player frame options
- Action bars: Cooldown Manager buff bars are restyled: a small square icon and a thin bordered bar with the name and time, in your class gradient, Daylight's gradient or one colour per spell
- Action bars: Buff bars can dock above your player frame, match its width, and grow up or down, with options for height, gap, text size, icon and time (Action Bars > Cooldown Manager > Buff bars)
Changed
- Options: The sidebar text is about 20% smaller
DaylightUI 0.5.4
Quality-of-life switches, a minimap button drawer, and profile loading in the installer.
New
- Quality of Life: Optional switch to hide the game's new-player tutorial tips (off by default)
- Quality of Life: Optional skip for cutscenes and intro movies (off by default; hold Shift to watch)
- Quality of Life: Optional automatic quest accept and turn-in (off by default; hold Shift to pause)
- Info panel: Addon minimap buttons (BugSack etc.) can be tucked into a drawer under the map, opened with a small tab
- Installer: New characters can load a profile you already have, picked from a list, exactly as it is
Fixed
- Action bars: Pet bar keybinds no longer flicker between bright and dull white
- Action bars: Shortened keybinds no longer briefly show the full name when the game updates them
- Installer: Installing with controller mode on no longer crashes the game; it asks you to turn controller mode off first (and no longer asks when only gamepad input is on)
- Profiles: New profiles keep plain class colours after a reload instead of switching back to class gradients
DaylightUI 0.5.3
Bugfix release, plus combo point options.
New
- Combo points: Options for pip height, spacing, position, colours, border, slant and gradient (Unit Frames > Extras)
Fixed
- Info panel: Spell breakdown rows now fill the icon correctly and use the same school/class gradient as the meter bars
- Info panel: Small layout fixes in the meter and panel
DaylightUI 0.5.2
Gradients everywhere by default: power bars now use power gradients, and existing setups switch plain class/power colours, cast bars, swing timers, nameplates and the meter to gradients once. One-colour custom picks are kept.
DaylightUI 0.5.1
Damage meter bars can now use the gradient colours.
New
- Info panel: The damage meter bars have a "Gradient" toggle (on by default) that uses the class gradient from the Gradients page
