Darkmoon Faire Music Mute

Darkmoon Faire Music Mute is a lightweight World of Warcraft Retail addon designed to automatically suppress the Tauren Chieftains performance at Darkmoon Faire without requiring you to manually adjust your sound settings every hour.

The addon monitors the in-game time while you're at Darkmoon Faire and automatically lowers the selected sound channel during the performance window. Once the performance window ends, your previous volume is restored.

How It Works

The addon checks your location and the server time.

When you're at Darkmoon Faire and the hour is approaching, it activates the mute:

10 seconds before the hour → Mute

Top of the hour → Tauren Chieftains performance

5 minutes after the hour → Restore your Dialogue volume

You don't need to remember to change your sound settings every hour.

Example

If the server time is:

12:59:50

The addon activates the mute.

At:

13:00:00

The Tauren Chieftains performance begins while the Dialogue volume is suppressed.

At approximately:

13:05:00

The addon restores your original Dialogue volume.

Settings

The addon uses a SavedVariables database to remember whether automatic muting is enabled.

By default:

Automatic muting: ON

You can turn it off at any time with:
