WoW: Forever reworked a lot of Classic gear. Hover any piece and see what it did in Classic, right in the tooltip.
- In Classic: when Forever changed an item, its tooltip gets a small block with the old stats in two clean columns. Every value Forever changed is tinted so it stands out.
- Old effects: when Forever changed an item's Use, Equip or Chance on hit effects, the Classic wording shows underneath.
- New in Forever: gear that didn't exist in Classic says so.
- Nothing else: gear that didn't change shows nothing extra, so your tooltips stay clean.
- Random-stat gear ("of the Bear" and friends) is left alone, since its stats were never fixed.
- Works in your shopping and chat-link tooltips too.
- Settings & Help from the minimap button, in 10 languages. Type /gearcompare.
Classic item data comes from the Classic Era game files (via wago.tools). Stats are compared live against what Forever reports, so it stays right after every Forever patch.
