Crossroads Defense 1.2.0
What's new
Crossroads Defense 1.2.0
New
- Elite paths: at rank 6 every defender chooses one of two specializations (Fire or Frost mages, Holy or Shadow priests, and so on).
- Guild board: a daily leaderboard of your guildmates' Daily Battle scores, shared in game.
- Chapter two: win Battle 10 to open Battles 11-15, ending in a 30-wave last stand at the Crossroads itself.
- Retry from a few waves back after losing a campaign battle (a battle won after a retry earns one star).
- Feats: 23 milestones for each character, from winning Battle 1 to slaying ten thousand raiders. Each is worth 1 renown for talents, and things you already did count straight away.
- Siege of the Crossroads: a new Endless map with the town in the middle and raiders coming from the west and the east at once.
- Ogre Brutes: a new raider from wave 10. Too heavy to stun, root, freeze or taunt, and costs 2 lives if it gets through. They ease in over their first few waves and never come as elites.
- Endless boons: every 10th wave held offers a choice of two: Battle Fury, Quartermaster, Reinforcements or Plunder.
- Endless twists: from wave 20 outside the campaign, every 5th wave is Frenzied, Ironhide, Warded or Regenerating, and pays 30% more.
- Twisted challenge: every wave from 3 has a twist.
- Guild board: Endless records: the furthest wave each guildmate has reached on every map.
- Damage meter at the end of every battle, and a "New record" banner when you pass your Endless best.
- Elite Training talent: Elite paths cost up to 30% less.
- Elite defenders glow in the colour of their path, and towers wear bronze, silver and gold bands as they rank up.
- The board flashes red and the town bonfire flares when raiders get through; the town shows its lives on the board (both can be switched off in Settings, along with combat text).
Improved
- Hover Upgrade to see exactly what the next rank gives.
- The Talents panel shows an icon for every talent.
- Softer road edges, quieter empty pads (they light up when you have a defender in hand), a countdown bar under the wave button, thicker health bars, and labels that no longer print over each other.
- Hero talent, boon and Elite path cards sit on whichever edge of the board has less road under them, and stay slightly see-through.
- Selling a costly defender takes a second click.
- Your game speed carries over between battles.
- The Selected panel shows the real numbers and skills for each Elite path (Fire mages no longer list Frost Nova, Shadow priests no longer list healing).
- The Elite path card waits while a hero talent card is open; hero talent and boon timers count real seconds at any game speed.
- Later campaign battles ramp up more evenly.
- If something goes wrong mid-battle, the game pauses with a message instead of spamming errors, and your battle is kept.
- The minimap button tooltip shows your stars, feats and today's Daily Battle.
- The Continue button no longer overlaps the menu buttons; "Paused" no longer shows through menus.
