Description

CraftPath (beta)

Level your profession, gear your character

Some crafted gear on Forever is blue and strong for its level. CraftPath finds it for you: every stage of your route lists the blue gear that stage lets you make, filtered to what your class can wear.

  • Gemmed Copper Boots at Blacksmithing 40, a blue you can wear at level 10, taught by your trainer
  • The Chain Belts at Blacksmithing 85, blues you can wear at level 12, with plans sold at Three Corners in Redridge (Alliance) and in The Barrens near the Crossroads (Horde)

Each piece shows the skill it's made at, the level you can wear it, and where to get the recipe: your trainer, a vendor (click it for directions), a drop or a quest. Gear you already have is ticked off, and when one recipe comes in several stat versions, you see the one that suits your class.

The cheapest route to Artisan

CraftPath plans the cheapest route from your current skill to Artisan, using the fewest gathered materials. It's built on WoW Forever's own game data, including the recipes and materials Classic doesn't have.

  • Leatherworking, Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Engineering, Enchanting, Alchemy, Cooking and First Aid
  • Four stages (Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Artisan), each with its recipes, materials and totals
  • The skill and level each trainer step needs, and where to train the next rank
  • Counts the materials already in your bags and bank
  • Ranks your known recipes by skill-up chance
  • Records what trainers teach and what vendors sell when you visit them

Open it from the CraftPath button on your Professions window. Shift-click any item in it to link it in chat.

Beta notes

Routes get better as more trainer and vendor data comes in, so a later stage may still say "visit a trainer". Some Artisan trainer locations are unconfirmed, and some recipe sources haven't been recorded yet: open vendor windows as you travel and CraftPath records what they sell.

Want more? Battle Buddy

Everything CraftPath does is built into Battle Buddy, along with:

  • Your next gear milestone for every profession, right in its panel
  • Trainer tours with an on-screen arrow, nearest trainer first
  • A dungeon guide with every boss and their loot, including Forever's new dungeons
  • Tooltips that say when gear is an upgrade, and "Keep for" tooltips so you never sell materials your recipes still need
  • A buff bar that shows when your self-buffs wear off

Install Battle Buddy while CraftPath is still installed and log in once: it brings over everything CraftPath recorded. Get it on CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/battle-buddy-forever-planner
