What's new

1.2.1 — what each Favor costs, and your other characters' materials

Tested on the WoW: Forever beta (build 1.60.1.70450) ahead of launch.

  • What a crate pays, and what each Favor costs. The Crates tab has two new columns: Favor, what the crate pays in Merchant's Favor when you hand it in, and Per Favor, what one Favor costs you by that crate. The cost is the fill for a crate you carry, or the crate and the fill for one you would buy, less the coin the hand-in pays back; a crate that fills for less than its coin shows a green "+" and what you come out ahead by. Click either heading to sort by it, so the cheapest Favor is at the top: a crate that pays more can be the better buy even when it costs more to fill. The game does not say what a crate pays, so the figures are what players have measured (5 Favor for an Apprentice crate, 10 for a Journeyman one, 15 for an Expert one, twice that for a crate of crafted goods, and 50 copper with each Favor), shown with a "~"; Artisan crates show "?" until someone has measured one. When you fill a crate and hand it in, Countinghouse notes what it paid and uses that from then on. A crate's tooltip and /ch crates say the same.
  • The Crates tab counts what your other characters hold. Materials on any character of your account now count toward a crate, where before only the bags and bank of the character you were on did. Have is what the account holds, a new On alts column beside each bundle says how much of that is on other characters, and a crate whose bundle you hold between them reads "on alts" where it would have shown a price to buy. Hold the mouse over a bundle to see which character has how many and how many to mail over. "Add to shopping list" asks only for what is still to be bought, and says what to mail. The Shopping tab shows the same against a crate's materials ("+12 alts"). A character's holdings are as it was last played: its bags from when you last logged out of it, its bank from when you last opened the bank on it. Counting their bags needs BLib 1.11.0: with 1.10.0 a character's bags are forgotten when it logs out, and only its bank is counted.
  • What an item disenchants into, on its tooltip. Armor and weapons of uncommon quality or better get a line saying what their materials would come to at the auction house's prices, for any character, enchanter or not: it is the least a green should sell for. Under it is the working: each material, its chance, how many, and its price. The chances are vanilla's tables, which have not been measured on Forever yet, so the figure is "about". An item whose materials have never been priced says so; a full scan with some listed prices them. In Settings, under Tooltips, choose between the worth with its materials, the worth alone with the materials when you hold Shift, or nothing. Forgemaster 1.1.1's new Disenchant window uses the same figures. Needs a full restart: a new file.
  • Right-click a result on the Browse tab for its price history. A right-click on an item in the results opens it straight on the History view; a left-click opens it on the view you last chose with the Listings and History tabs, as before.
  • Fixed: Shift for the price history only worked if it was held before the mouse reached the item. In Countinghouse's own window a row's tooltip was drawn once, so pressing Shift with the mouse already on the row did nothing until you moved off and back. Pressing or letting go of Shift now redraws the tooltip at once. A bundle on the Crates tab had no history at all on its tooltip; it has it now. An item priced on one day only, which has no history to sum up yet, now says so with Shift held, where it showed nothing more.
  • Fixed: an item on a shopping list could still show "..." for a name. 1.2.0 asked the game for a missing name once a session, so an item whose name did not come at that one asking stayed "..." until a reload. It is now asked for again every few seconds for as long as the row is on screen without a name, and a crate or a crate's material is shown meanwhile by the name Countinghouse read from the crate's own tooltip.
  • Fixed: the Buy button's words ran past its ends. On the Shopping tab the button was the same width whatever it said, so a long name ("Buy 1 Waylaid Crate: Apprentice Curiosities for 20s 97c") spilled over both its edges and into the line beside it. It now widens to fit, and leaves that line room.
  • Export / Import in the settings window. Countinghouse's settings window has an "Export / Import" button in its title bar, as the other addons' settings windows do: every addon's settings out as text, or in from another computer or client, with nothing typed. Needs BLib 1.11.0; with 1.10.0 the title bar is as it was.
