What's new

1.2.0 — crates, your sales and the price history

  • A Crates tab: the cheapest way to fill each Waylaid Crate. A crate takes any one bundle from a short list, and the bundles can differ a hundredfold in price. The tab lists every crate you are carrying and every crate for sale, with what each bundle would cost at the auction house's prices, less what you already hold in your bags and bank, and marks the cheapest. A crate for sale also shows the cost with the crate bought. Click a heading to sort by it: what a crate costs to fill (how the tab opens), what it costs with the crate bought, the crate's own price, or the crates you hold. What a crate takes is read from the crate's own tooltip, so nothing is out of date after a patch. "Add to shopping list" puts what is missing on a list called Crates, for Buy next on the Shopping tab: the cheapest bundle, and ahead of it the crate itself when you carry none and one is for sale. What you then use (a crate handed in, bolts made) comes off that list by itself. A crate's tooltip gets one line saying the same, anywhere, and /ch crates prints it in chat. With a Forgemaster newer than 1.1.0 installed, a bundle your character can make (bolts, bars, cured hides) is also costed from its reagents, and the cheaper way is the one shown. Needs a full restart: a new file.
  • Results: what became of your own auctions. A new Results view on the Auctions tab lists, for each item you have sold, how many you posted, how many sold, expired and were cancelled, how many are still up, the share that cleared (sold out of sold and expired), how long a sale took, the average price and what it brought in. Each auction is followed from the moment it is listed; the mailbox fills in what ended while you were away and what each sale actually paid after the auction house's cut. One button switches between everything, the last 30 days and the last 7. /ch results prints the same in chat. It starts counting from this version: earlier auctions are only known from letters still in your mailbox. Needs a full restart: a new file.
  • The price history can be seen. Countinghouse has kept a day-by-day price for every item since your first full scan, and showed it nowhere. Hold Shift over an item for its lowest and highest market price over the days recorded, the average, whether it is up or down since the first day, and how many were listed; your own sales of it are on the same tooltip. /ch price <item link> now prints the last fortnight a line a day.
  • A History view for the item you pick. On the Browse tab, the pane on the right has two small tabs, Listings and History. History draws the item's last 30 days as a chart, a column a day: the column is that day's market price, on a scale from the lowest to the highest price recorded (both are written on the chart), a tick marks the day's cheapest listing, and a strip under the column shows how many were listed. A day with no full scan, or with none listed, is a gap. Under the chart are the highest, lowest and average prices, the first and last dates and whether the price is up or down since the first day, then a line for each day, newest first, and your own sales of the item when you have any. Hold the mouse over a day for its figures. An item found in your last full scan has its history too. Needs a full restart: a new file.
  • Fixed: items on a shopping list could show "..." for a name. A list opened in a later session, or on another character, showed "..." in the Item column for anything that character's game had not met yet, with the right icon and tooltip, and it stayed that way. The name is now asked for and fills in a moment later.
  • Fixed: a search by stats, role or suffix could show nothing, or too little, the first time. The auction house names an item your game has not met a moment after it lists it. A result looked at before its name arrived was taken for the plain item without its suffix, so a cloak "of the Owl" had no Intellect, and it stayed left out: the list settled on too few results or on "Nothing matches", and pressing Search again showed them all. Such results now wait for their names, as they already waited for the rest of an item's data. The Stats column fills in when the names arrive, and "See it listed now" no longer says an item has sold while its name is on the way.
  • An armor type or a slot in the Filters view is asked of the auction house itself. Both were checked only on what came back, so "All Armor" with Cloth, or Cloth with Back, asked for every piece of armor of those levels and then picked out the cloth. Both are now asked for with the same filters as the auction house's own category list, so only cloth backs are sent and the answer comes sooner. A weapon's slot (One-hand, Two-hand, Ranged) is still checked afterwards, as the auction house has no filter for it.
  • A search that was not read to its end says so. Countinghouse reads about the first 15,500 results of a search. When more than that are listed, the count line now says "more are listed than were read: narrow the search", and an empty list says the same, where it used to say "Nothing matches".
  • Fixed: an item level filter could throw out everything. A result whose item level was not known yet counted as level 0 and was left out. It now waits for the item's data, as stats already did.
  • Fixed: a category's slot was ignored in the last full scan. Armor > Cloth > Chest, searched in the last full scan, listed every piece of cloth. It now lists chest pieces.
  • Fixed: the Sell tab could list only some of what you can sell. The list is what the game says the auction house would take, and the game's answer wavers: it can say no to an item one moment and yes the next with nothing in your bags changing, so the tab sometimes opened on four items where thirteen could be sold, and stayed that way until you left the tab and came back. An item the game has accepted during a visit now stays listed while it is in that bag slot, and while the tab is open it looks again by itself every second or two, so anything missing appears a moment later.
  • Fixed: cancelling an auction could sit on "Cancelling..." for six seconds and then say "Not cancelled". The Auctions tab waited for one signal from the game that does not always come, so a cancel that had gone through at once (the game's own "Auction canceled." was already in chat) was reported as failed. The tab now also takes the game's own line, and your list of auctions no longer showing the auction, as the answer, and says "Cancelled" straight away. If there is truly no answer after six seconds it says so, and still says "Cancelled" when one comes.
  • Fixed: Clear filters left the old results on screen. The filters went and the list under them stayed as it was until you searched again. Clearing them now runs the search again, as unticking the last one by hand always did.
  • Fixed: reopening the auction house showed a picked item with nothing beside it. Closing and reopening the auction house on the Browse tab left the row you had picked lit and the pane on the right empty. The pane now opens on that item again, in the view (Listings or History) you left it in.
