What's new

Completion 1.5.6

Every Zone Progress category for Midnight has now had a full review, PvP has its own book, there is a brand new window in the game's own style, completionist extras are listed (never counted), and Hallow's End is ready.

A new look

  • A brand new window in the game's own style. It looks like the Adventure Guide, the Journeys window and the Traveler's Log: each zone is a renown-style card with a progress ring, each page has its list of sections on the left, and dungeons and raids show their Adventure Guide picture.
  • One dropdown instead of the row of bookmarks. Pick Midnight, The War Within, PvP or the holidays from the dropdown at the top. A breadcrumb shows where you are and takes you back in one click, and the search box searches the whole book.
  • Big and resizable. The window opens large and you can drag its bottom-right corner to make it any size you like; it remembers the size. Zone cards sit three or four to a row, and each page shows far more rows at once.
  • Lots on screen at once. Slim rows like the classic book, so a page shows around 25 things without scrolling. Each section in the list has its own progress bar, and each zone card says what is still left there.
  • The zone map is back. The right side shows the zone's map with everything still missing pinned on it: hover a pin to see what it is, click it to track it, click the map for the big one. The pin filter, your route and your position are on it too.
  • The 3D view is back. Click a mount, pet, appearance or rare and it takes the map's place in 3D (drag to turn it, scroll to zoom), with how to get it underneath. Close brings the map back.
  • Tabs at the bottom for Progress, This Week, Warband and Options, like the game's own windows.
  • Prefer the old book? Options > Classic book (or type /comp ui) switches back with one reload, and the same button brings the new window back.

Hallow's End (October 19 to November 2)

  • Every Hallow's End achievement now has a guide. The new neighborhood candy achievements (Drustvar, Duskwood and Felwood, and Sweet Tooth) and the ghost hunt (I Ain't Afraid of no Ghost) lead you to the right quest giver for your faction and explain the daily theme, the House Finder trick and doing it on three characters in one day. A Mask for All Occasions, The Mask Task, A Frightening Friend, A Cleansing Fire, G.N.E.R.D. Rage and the rest are no longer greyed out.
  • Candy buckets fixed. 27 buckets had a stray spot far from the inn, so the arrow could send you into the middle of nowhere (Grove of Aessina in Mount Hyjal, Ratchet, Everlook, Light's Hope Chapel, Uldum, the Ringing Deeps and more). They now point at the inn. The Midnight buckets were checked too: Fairbreeze Village, the Den and the outposts now have their exact spots.
  • The 2025 Headless Horseman rewards are on the Seasonal page: The Headless Horseman's Ghoulish Charger, Arfus and the nine pieces of the Horseman's Ghoulish Collection, with how each one drops.
  • Other holidays: a holiday's own guide now also counts as the guide for its achievements, so far fewer rows are greyed out on every holiday page.
  • Buckets you can't see. Some buckets only show in a zone's old version or after a storyline. Their rows now tell you what to do: talk to Zidormi in Uldum, Arathi Highlands, the Blasted Lands, Silithus or the Vale (with her spot), or finish the storyline that hides the bucket in Thunder Bluff, Tranquillien, Deepholm and a few more.

Dungeons & Raids

  • A clear tooltip for every Midnight dungeon and raid: what it is and how many players, your achievements done, the difficulties, where the entrance is (and how to get there), how Story Mode opens, the bosses, what you still have to do, and its mounts, pets, toys and decor with whether you have them.
  • Knows the Mythic+ season. A Midnight dungeon that isn't in this season's Mythic+ rotation has no Heroic or Mythic until it comes back. The book reads the rotation from the game: those dungeons say "only Normal is open", and their Heroic and Mythic achievements show "later season" instead of looking doable.
  • Every dungeon and raid has an entrance for the arrow, including the ones inside the Vaults of Atal'Utek and the underwater Tidebound Grotto portal.
  • Fixed guides: Nymrissa Wavecaller (no Raid Finder; underwater portal; flexible Mythic), Mythic: Rotmire (15 to 25 players), Altar of Fangs (queue Heroic), Heroic: The Voidspire (the stuck Lightblinded Vanguard row).

Reputation

  • A new reputation tooltip: your standing and progress to the next rank, the mounts, pets and toys you still need with the rank they open at ("you can buy it now" when you can), how to earn it, and where the quartermaster stands. Track a reputation and the arrow leads to the quartermaster.
  • Prey: Season 1 ended with its season and no longer counts toward 100% (Preyhunter's Journey is the Prey journey now).

Professions

  • All 88 knowledge treasures checked (8 for each of 11 professions), with exact-spot hints where they're tricky (on roofs, in caves, on top of mushrooms), and what unlocks the ones that only appear after a storyline.
  • Each treasure says what it gives and who can loot it, instead of a generic note.
  • The five Skinning lure spots are daily targets, not one-time treasures, so they no longer count toward 100%.

Side quests: every Midnight quest line

  • Checked against the game's own list of quest lines (all 143 for Midnight). Added the campaign window's missing first chapter of the Curse of Ula'tek (The Missing Amani) and 17 quest lines no achievement asks for, each with its quests in order and where it starts: The Arcantina, The Sunstrider Omnium, The Empowered Folio, the Void Assaults and Prey introductions, Astalor's Temptations, Ritual Site Studies, three Val stories, Into the Labyrinth, Beyond the Walls, A Fiery Blast from the Past, What Remains of Broken Throne and more.
  • A storyline without an achievement now needs every one of its quests, not just the last one.

Extras (not counted), new

  • For completionists, on the Midnight page, never part of 100%: the feats of strength you can still earn: Mythic+ Season 2 (rating mounts, Keystone Hero teleports, resilient keys), Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge, Season 2 delve tiers and Azta'rec, the Labyrinth (including Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan and its mount), season feats, the Aqir Invasions, and one-offs like the Illicit Rain's five stars and Gortham's rescue. Each with a short note.
  • Appearance sets for your class, from the game: raid sets per difficulty, dungeon, delve, Prey, renown, Void Assault, world quest, campaign and crafted sets, with how many pieces you have.
  • Options > Advanced can hide the extras.

PvP book, new

  • PvP has its own bookmark and page with its own total: every Midnight PvP achievement (now 54), the rated PvP mounts, pets and toys, and as extras this season's rated feats and your class's PvP sets. The PvE pages are PvE only; the PvP switch in What counts is gone.

Housing

  • All 34 housing achievements checked against the game; decor and lumber tips updated from player reports.

Fixed

  • On the world map, a rare you already killed said "nothing left to get here" even when it can still drop something you need.
  • Options > Advanced no longer stays on screen when you pick a zone.
