Combo Points Classic
Brings back the classic floating combat text for combo points on WoW Forever.
Every time you generate a combo point you get the familiar blue <N Combo Points> text scrolling up the middle of your screen. At max combo points you get something special:
- Crit splash –
<5 Combo Points>bursts onto the screen, snaps back to size and holds in place instead of scrolling away - Your own sound cue – drop in a "Finish him!" clip (or anything you like) and it plays so you never miss your finisher window
No configuration needed. Install, log in, and start stabbing.
Features
- Classic-style blue
<N Combo Points>scrolling text for 1–4 points - Stationary crit splash for max combo points
- Plays your own sound clip on max combo points (optional; see below)
- Only announces points you gain: switching targets won't spam you
- Works on its own, with no need to turn on the game's floating combat text
- Move, resize and re-time everything with slash commands

Troubleshooting info |
Use your own sound
The addon doesn't ship with a sound. To get a sound cue at max combo points, put an audio file named finishhim.ogg or finishhim.mp3 in the Interface\AddOns\ComboPointsClassic folder and fully exit and relaunch the game (/reload won't find new files).
- Use
.oggor.mp3(.wavwon't play). - It plays on the Master channel, so it follows your master volume.
/cpc debugtells you whether your clip can be played.- Updating the addon may delete your custom file, so keep a copy.
Compatibility
Built for the WoW Forever client (interface 16001).
