Combat Boots

CombatBoots is a small quality-of-life addon for WoW Classic Era & Season of Discovery (interface 11508).

Two boot slots, one goal: run boots when you're moving, stat boots when you're fighting — automatically.

What it does

  - Drag your speed boots into slot 1. Equipped the instant you start moving out of combat.
  - Drag your combat boots into slot 2. Equipped the instant you target a hostile enemy, cast an offensive spell, or begin auto-attacking.
  - Safety-net timer returns run boots if you targeted a mob but never attacked (configurable 0.5–60 s).
  - Guaranteed pre-lockdown swap via a keybind you set inside the addon, or via a boot icon you drag from the settings window onto any action bar. Both use a SecureActionButton + PreClick — the swap runs before the attack, always.
  - On-screen banner flashes "Combat Boots" or "Running Boots" over your character on every swap.
