ClearCue

Readable next-spell and interrupt cues with conditional defensive reminders, customizable fonts, and keybind labels.

ClearCue

ClearCue puts a readable next-spell cue, an interrupt cue, and four conditional defensive reminders near your character. Built for Retail WoW, with configurable typography and a compact layout that fits your UI.

Features

  • Next-spell recommendations from Blizzard's Assisted Combat API.
  • Large square assistant and interrupt icons above a row of smaller defensive icons.
  • Interrupt cues based on your target's cast or channel and your interrupt's cooldown.
  • Four defensive reminders per specialization, with health or resource thresholds and optional keybind overrides.
  • Automatic keybind labels for Blizzard and EllesmereUI action buttons, including resolved spell macros.
  • Configurable fonts, sizes, outlines, keybind colors, cooldown text, charges, and icon labels.
  • Follows EllesmereUI's configured Action Bars font by default when available; optional LibSharedMedia font support.
  • Target, combat, or always-visible display modes, mounted hiding, and configurable inactive opacity.
  • Optional red out-of-range tint when the game provides an accessible range result.
  • Optional DataBroker launcher: left-click for settings, right-click to preview and position.

ClearCue displays recommendations and reminders; you press your own abilities. No required libraries.

Getting started

  • /cc — Open settings.
  • /cc edit — Preview and drag the display; repeat to finish positioning.
  • /cc refresh — Refresh fonts and keybindings.
  • /cc bindings — Print binding diagnostics outside combat.

Review the Defensives tab for your specialization. Each rule has a spell ID, a unit, a health or resource threshold, and an optional keybind override. Set the spell ID to 0 to disable a slot.

Alpha status

Defensives, interrupts, and keybindings have been tested in-game on a Frost Mage with EllesmereUI. Other classes, pet interrupts, and more complex setups still need testing. Unknown or restricted range results leave the icon's normal color unchanged.
