ClassBar Mover

Holy Power, Combo Points, Runes, Soul Shards, Chi, Essence and more: move, resize and restyle them in Edit Mode, plus an optional power bar.

ClassBar Mover

Move, resize and restyle your class resource bar right in Edit Mode, just like the rest of Blizzard's UI.

Holy Power stuck under your portrait? Combo points too small to read in a big pull? ClassBar Mover lets you put your class resource anywhere on screen, size it however you like and give it a clean, modern look. It can also add a movable power bar (mana, energy, rage and more). Everything is set up in Edit Mode, so there are no extra option windows to learn.

QUICK START

1. Install the addon and log in. Your class resource is shown right away as a custom bar, under the middle of your screen.
2. Type /cbm, or open Edit Mode from the game menu.
3. Click "ClassBar: Class Resource". Drag it where you want it, and change its settings in the panel that opens.
4. Want a movable power bar too? Click "ClassBar: Power Bar" and tick "Show power bar".
5. Close Edit Mode. Your setup saves on its own.

Tip: if you'd rather keep the game's own class bar art, tick "Use Blizzard's bar". You can still move and scale it.

SUPPORTED CLASSES

- Paladin: Holy Power
- Warlock: Soul Shards (Destruction shows shard fragments filling up)
- Death Knight: Runes, with optional cooldown timers on each rune
- Rogue: Combo Points (charged points are highlighted)
- Druid: Combo Points in Cat Form (charged points are highlighted)
- Monk: Chi (Windwalker) and Stagger (Brewmaster, turns green, yellow, red as it gets heavier)
- Mage: Arcane Charges (Arcane)
- Evoker: Essence, with the next point filling in live
- Demon Hunter: Devourer soul fragments (uses Blizzard's own bar, which you can move and scale)

Specs and forms without a class resource simply show nothing. In Edit Mode the frame says "no class resource for this spec" so you can still place it.

CLASS RESOURCE SETTINGS
Found in Edit Mode on "ClassBar: Class Resource".

- Show class resource: Turns the bar on or off. When it's off, Blizzard's normal class bar under your portrait comes back.
- Use Blizzard's bar: Shows the game's own class bar art in this spot instead of the custom bar.
- Width / Height / Spacing: Size of the custom bar and the gap between pips.
- Scale: Size of Blizzard's bar (only shown when using Blizzard's bar).
- Texture: Pick from 20 textures (see below).
- Use resource colors: Each resource gets its own color (gold Holy Power, purple Soul Shards, red/blue/green runes for your spec and so on). Untick it to pick your own Bar color.
- Background opacity: How dark the empty pips are.
- Show number: Shows how many points you have in the middle of the bar.
- Rune timers: Death Knight only. Seconds left on each recharging rune.
- Show: Always, In combat, or In combat or with a target.

POWER BAR SETTINGS
Found in Edit Mode on "ClassBar: Power Bar". It's off by default.

- Show power bar: Turns the power bar on.
- Width / Height: Size of the bar.
- Texture: "Blizzard" (the default) uses the game's own mana, rage, energy and other bar art, with the same gradients as your player frame. Or pick any of the 20 textures.
- Text: None, Percent, Current, or Current and percent.
- Text size: Size of the text.
- Use power colors: Blue mana, red rage, yellow energy and so on. Untick it to pick your own Bar color.
- Background opacity: How dark the empty part of the bar is.
- Show: Always, In combat, or In combat or with a target.
- Hide player frame power bar: Hides the power bar on Blizzard's player frame so you don't see it twice.

TEXTURES
All 20 textures come with the addon and are tinted to your bar's color.

- Finishes: Clean (default), Glossy, Matte, Beveled, Glow, Silk, Chrome, Steel, Satin, Pearl, Lacquer, Inset and Flat (solid color).
- Surfaces: Brushed, Leather, Marble, Slate, Frost, Mist and Linen. These add a subtle surface detail that flows seamlessly from one pip to the next.

GOOD TO KNOW

- One class bar at a time. While the custom bar is on, Blizzard's class bar under your portrait is hidden and the gap it leaves closes up. Turn the custom bar off, or tick "Use Blizzard's bar", and it comes back.
- Each Edit Mode layout has its own setup. Switching layouts (for example a healing layout and a DPS layout) switches your ClassBar positions and settings too. Settings are shared by all your characters that use the same layout.
- Bars always show while Edit Mode is open, even if they're set to "In combat", so you can place them.
- Bars hide automatically in vehicles and pet battles.
- Edit Mode can't open in combat. That's a game rule. Wait until combat ends.
- Works alongside other unit frame addons. "Use Blizzard's bar" keeps working even if another addon hides the player frame. If Blizzard's bar can't be found at all, the custom bar is shown instead.
- Starting over: /cbm reset puts the current Edit Mode layout back to the default settings.
- After updating the addon, fully restart the game once (not just /reload) so any new textures load.

BUILT TO BE LIGHTWEIGHT

- Does no work at all while a bar is hidden.
- No constant memory churn; bursts of game events are batched into a single update.
- Small textures that only load when you pick them.
- Type /cbm perf to see its memory and CPU use for yourself.

COMMANDS

- /cbm or /classbar: Opens Edit Mode
- /cbm reset: Restores defaults for the current Edit Mode layout
- /cbm perf: Shows ClassBar Mover's memory and CPU use
- /cbm debug: Prints diagnostic info for bug reports
- /cbm help: Lists the commands

You can also open Edit Mode from the addon compartment button by the minimap.
