v1.8.41 (2026-10-22)
Full Changelog Previous Releases
- Quest Vision: "Glow on quest objects" now only turns on the game's soft targeting while a quest in this zone still needs something picked up or used, so walking past corpses no longer flashes the game's ring on each one. Nameplate icons it hides (a dead mob's skinning icon, say) no longer flash up for a moment
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Death camera: "Fade the UI while dead" (While dead on the Death Cam page) is now on by default
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Death camera: after you release, the dark edges stay and slowly breathe in and out. At a spirit healer they lift slowly over the wait, then quickly in its last 3 seconds; walk out of its circle and they stay with you. On a corpse run they lift as you near your body, slowly at first, then quickly within 50 yards ("Edges lift as you near your body" on the Death Cam page); where the game can't say where your body is (after dying in a dungeon), they lift evenly as you walk. A new While dead section on the Death Cam page can fade the UI while you're dead, and as a ghost too, keeping up only what you tick (the release window and Return to graveyard button by default); hovering a faded part brings it back. "YOU DIED" now waits 2 seconds before fading in, more slowly. /cine debug corpse shows how far your body is and the edges
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Nameplates: an NPC you point the camera at keeps its name again when Quest Vision's "Glow on quest objects" is on and your nameplates for it are off: its plate stays hidden, but the name shows as your NPC Names setting says
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - What's new: a new Thanks page lists the players who helped make Cinematic better by testing it, reporting bugs and sending ideas
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Death camera: as it starts, "YOU DIED" fades in across the middle of the screen, in worn red letters on a dark band with soft edges, then fades away after a few seconds, a nod to Elden Ring. Turn it off with "Show "YOU DIED"" under Screen on the Death Cam page
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Raid frames: the ready check's tick, cross and question marks no longer stay on screen when CineMode fades the raid frames out: they now fade with their frames. A new Ready check row in the Raid frames section (Standard Frames) hides them in CineMode when unticked. /cine debug readycheck lists them and how they're faded. /cine debug plates no longer errors with a group member targeted
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Chat page: laid out like Standard Frames, with sections that open and close. Each message type and channel is now a full row: Always (your old tick), In combat, Tar Enemy, Tar Friendly, BGs & Arenas, Open World, Grouped, Instances and Role, so Trade can show chat only while you're grouped, say. Rules on the Advanced Frames page work on them too. A new Typing row says where pressing Enter brings up the chat window; elsewhere just the input box comes up, and it fades as soon as you close it. Some game message names are shorter, with the rest in their tooltips
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Death camera: the death screen's vignette is now smooth and rounded, with no bright cross or lines where its edges used to meet (the CineMode vignette too), and its edges are darker. Two new sliders under Screen on the Death Cam page set how long the dark edges take to creep in and how far in they reach. Released to a spirit healer that resurrects in waves, the screen now clears slowly over the countdown instead of at once. A mouse button you're still holding as you die (steering in the fight) no longer stops the death camera: only a new click, drag or zoom afterwards hands you the camera
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Roll Vision: each item's panel has a thicker, rounded border in the item's quality colour, like the game's own roll frame, and a bigger close button. A new "Show rolls on" option skips items below a quality (Uncommon, Rare or Epic and up), leaving their rolls in chat. In a raid, each item lists only the top players' rolls (3 by default, set by "Players shown per item in a raid"), the rest as "and N more"; in a party everyone is listed. Rolls are now ordered need before greed, as the game decides the winner, and a long list of passes shows only the count
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Quest cam: clicking through several quests at one NPC no longer sets the camera off part way: each new window (the next quest's text, the reward) adds a second to the wait before it starts. Taking a flight path after talking to a quest giver now zooms the camera back out to your distance straight away, instead of holding it close for the whole flight
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 noreply@anthropic.com - Quest cam: a new "Wait before starting" option (3 seconds by default) holds the camera still for a moment after the quest window opens. Accept a quest and go sooner, and the camera doesn't move at all; stay to read, and it starts
