ChatItemCount

Hover over an item link in chat to see how many you own, with counts from exactly the storage locations you choose.

ChatItemCount is a standalone addon for World of Warcraft Retail. It adds item counts to tooltips and provides chat-link hover tooltips without requiring a separate chat or inventory addon.

Features

• Separate switches for bags, personal bank, saved characters and warband bank. All four are enabled by default on first installation.
• Bags include your backpack, equipped bags and reagent bag. Equipped gear is excluded.
• Disabled storage sources are excluded from the displayed counts and total.
• Per-character counts with names colored by class.
• The shared warband bank is counted once, independently of character totals.
• English interface, with Russian text on Russian clients.
• No external libraries or required addon dependencies.

Setup

Open settings with /cic or /chatitemcount, or find ChatItemCount under Settings > AddOns.

For your bags only, enable Bags and disable the other three options. For bags across characters, enable Bags and Other saved characters. Enable Personal bank or Warband bank when you want those sources included.

Log in to each character with the addon enabled to save their bags and class. Open their bank to save its contents. Open the warband bank to save the shared inventory.

How saved data works

Other characters are shown from their last saved scan, not a live connection to offline characters. Bank scans update while the bank is open. Changes made after the last scan can leave saved bank counts outdated.

? means that an enabled storage source has not been scanned yet. Total reports the sum of available counts from selected sources; unscanned sources are excluded until a scan is available. Only characters previously seen by this addon are included.

Items are counted by item ID. Variants with the same item ID are combined. Mail, auctions, equipped gear and guild banks are not counted. Character data is local to the WoW installation and account; it is not synced between computers or accounts.

When upgrading from a development version before 1.0.6, personal bank snapshots are cleared once to remove potentially incorrect counts. Open the personal bank on each character to scan it again. Bag snapshots, warband data and your saved settings are kept.

Compatibility and support

Prepared for WoW Retail 12.1.0. Classic clients are not supported. Chat and tooltip addons that replace the standard frames may need separate compatibility testing.

Please report issues through the project comments or its issue tracker. Include the WoW version, ChatItemCount version, enabled storage options and any Lua error. Future WoW API changes may require an addon update.

Сумки, личный банк, сохранённые персонажи и банк отряда включаются отдельно. При первой установке все четыре опции включены. Имена окрашены по классу. Банк отряда общий и считается один раз. В русском клиенте подписи русские, в остальных — английские.

Настройки открываются командами /cic и /chatitemcount или через меню Settings > AddOns. Для показа только своих сумок оставьте одну галочку Bags. Для сумок всех сохранённых персонажей включите также Other saved characters.

Зайдите каждым персонажем с включённым аддоном, чтобы сохранить сумки и класс. Откройте его банк для сохранения содержимого. Данные альтов и банков показываются по последнему сканированию и могут устареть. Символ ? означает, что выбранное хранилище еще не просканировано. «Всего» показывает сумму доступных данных из выбранных источников.

Поддерживается Retail 12.1.0. Экипировка, почта, аукцион и гильдейский банк не учитываются. Предметы суммируются по item ID; варианты с одним ID объединяются. Данные не синхронизируются между установками игры и аккаунтами.
