• Type in your language, the chat gets English. Press Enter as usual: what you wrote goes out word by word in English, and only in English. It is on from the start whenever your game client is not English; the indicator on the chat box, /ct out or a key binding switches it off and on. If no word of a line is in the dictionary, or your language pack is not loaded, the line goes out as you typed it and a line on your screen tells you so.
• English chat, with a line in your language underneath. Party, raid, say, yell, whisper, guild, officer, instance and channel lines get a dim line in your language right under them; words it does not know stay as they were written. /ct channels picks the chats.
• Your language follows your game client: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean and Chinese (simplified and traditional). /ct lang <code> chooses another, /ct lang auto goes back.
• Each language is its own folder and loads only when it is needed.
• Players who both run Chat-Translator see each other's originals under the English line, marked with the language.
• /ct <text> translates and sends one line; /ct test <text> shows a translation without sending it; /ct original on also appends your original text when it fits; /ct status shows your language, the switches and the loaded language packs; /ct lists every command.
• Everything is offline; the dictionaries are inside the addon, and the people you talk to need nothing installed.
