Overview

Champion Companion is designed to optimize your character's performance by providing real-time gear suggestions, maintenance alerts, automated item management, and various quality-of-life enhancements. The centerpiece of the addon is the Smart Button, which dynamically updates based on your character's needs.

Features

The Smart Button

A secure action button that intelligently scans your inventory and character state to suggest the most beneficial next action. You can customize priorities and thresholds using the Smart Button Settings options panel:

• Custom Profiles: Standard (Balanced), Quest & Speedrun (mounts & fast-travel), Raid & Dungeon prep (food & flasks), or Professions & Crafting.
• Toggleable Actions: Selectively enable/disable components (Combat Healing, Gear Upgrades, Quest Items, Disenchanting, Fast-Travel, and Collectibles).
• Health Threshold: Customize the exact percentage at which low-health healing recommendations (Healthstone/Potion) trigger. Pre-binds combat self-healing macros securely out of combat.
• Token Support: Automatically scans, categorizes, and prompts actions for class-restricted tokens and reputation tokens.
• Greedy Matching: Optimized automated gear retrieval that compares candidate upgrades from the Warband Bank and groups/sorts them to transfer the best upgrades first, avoiding unnecessary step-by-step rescans.

Gear & Stat Analysis

• Stat Weights: Advanced scoring logic for items based on your class and specialization. Includes correct scaling and protection for Heirlooms.
• Spec-Specific Weapon Filters: Prevents transferring or recommending incorrect items (such as off-hands or melee weapons for Marksmanship Hunters) by validating item eligibility against your active spec's exact rules.
• MidnightDB: Built-in database for comprehensive item tracking and comparison across all Midnight dungeons and raids.
• Tooltip Integration: Enhances item tooltips with upgrade scores and predicted disenchant yields.
• Upgrade Compass: Highlights your weakest gear slot and recommends the best content to target for upgrades (Mythic+, Heroic Dungeons, Raids).

Dashboard

A comprehensive overview panel with multiple tabs:

• Gear Progression: Shows your top upgrade options from all available sources (dungeons, raids, world), sorted by stat gain. Includes a Leveling Mode for sub-max-level characters with contextual quest progression tips.
• Great Vault Predictor: Recommends which Great Vault slots to pick for the highest upgrade potential, displaying S/A/B/C tier ratings based on your current gear score.
• Warband: Shows all characters on your account with their item level, gold, lockouts, and Warband Bank upgrades. Includes a Total Account Wealth summary.
• Guild: Guild member overview with crafter listings (synced via addon comms), challenge progress, bank transactions, and M+/Vault tracking. Supports Quick-Jump navigation bars to quickly scroll between sections.
• Quest Progression: A smart leveling assistant with campaign goal tracking and dungeon queue recommendations for non-max-level characters.
• Professions: Detailed step-by-step leveling guides for all primary professions, lists of required materials, and where to get them. Displays detailed descriptions, perks, and trainer locations for characters without any active professions.

Management & QoL Tools

• Information Bar: A TitanPanel-style status bar at the top of the screen showing Gold stats, XP, Durability, System metrics, and active World Events. Supports drag-to-sort modules, auto-hide fading, and a right-click context menu for quick settings access.
• Minimap Button: Left-click opens the Dashboard; right-click opens a Quick Menu with the most-used toggles, or can be configured to open the Options panel directly.
• Buff Manager: Set up flasks/food alerts for specific content types and difficulties. You can configure difficulties independently for Dungeons (Normal, Heroic, Mythic, Mythic+) and Raids (LFR, Normal, Heroic, Mythic), and set custom thresholds for Mythic+ keys and Delve tiers.
• Auto-Sell Manager: Sell junk automatically and auto-repair your gear. You can also auto-sell soulbound gear below a threshold compared to your equipped slots, with custom exclusions/protection for specific slots and item types.
• Currency Monitor: Checks for currency caps (e.g., Catalyst charges, Great Vault) and alerts you before you waste rewards.
• Warband Support: Optimized for modern WoW features like Warband-bound items, Warband Bank scanning, and cross-character gold tracking.

Quality of Life

• Auto-Skip Gossip/Dialogs: Automatically selects the only available gossip or quest option (Shift to suppress).
• Auto-Skip Movies/Cinematics: Skips previously seen cinematics (Shift to suppress).
• Auto-Confirm Binding/Delete: Skips bind-on-equip and item destruction confirmation dialogs.
• Auto-Open Containers: Automatically opens clams, lockboxes, and similar items on loot.
• Easy Disenchant: Hold Alt+Ctrl and hover over an item to disenchant it instantly.
• Speedy Auto Loot: Bypasses default loot delays for faster looting.
• Smart Action Cam: Automatically enables the Action Cam in the open world and disables it in instances.
• iLvl Overlays: Displays item levels on your Character frame, Inspect window, and in tooltips.
• Clean UI: Auto-fades MicroMenu, Bags, and XP bars when not in use.

Technical & Architecture

• Ace3 Integration: Refactored the core addon to utilize the standard Ace3 library suite (AceAddon-3.0, AceDB-3.0, AceEvent-3.0, AceConsole-3.0, AceConfig-3.0) for clean database management, profile handling, and command registration.
• LibDBIcon & Minimap: Leverages LibDBIcon-1.0 and LibDataBroker-1.1 for standard minimap icon management and broker panel integration.
• Native Settings UI: Deep integration with the native Blizzard Settings Panel using modern Settings API wrappers.
• Refactored Dashboard: Modernized layout using Blizzard's PortraitFrameTemplate with a native aesthetic, centered navigation buttons, and responsive scaling.

Usage

Slash Commands

• /cc: Toggle/interact with the Smart Button.
• /cc dashboard: Open the main dashboard.
• /cc options: Open the settings panel.
• /cc debug [ItemLink]: Display detailed stat calculations for an item.

The Smart Button Interface

• Left-Click: Perform the suggested action.
• Right-Click (on certain alerts): Dismiss or ignore the current item/alert.
• Edit Mode: Integrate directly with the WoW Edit Mode system for easy positioning.

Minimap Button

• Left-Click: Open the Dashboard.
• Right-Click: Open Quick Menu (or Options panel directly — configurable).
