Brum's Summon Helper

Warlock summoning coordinator for Classic Era & Hardcore, forked from the now-unsupported RaidSummon - synced summon request list, click-to-summon, live accept/decline status, and soul shard counts for every warlock in the group with the addon.

What's new

1.0.1

Fixed

  • Warlocks kept summoning themselves. Every time a warlock cast, the addon announced "Summoning Bob..." in chat, and every other warlock's addon heard "sum" and helpfully added the caster to the list. Nobody was ever getting to Orgrimmar that way. The addon now recognizes its own announcements and ignores them.
  • "need 123 when you get a chance" did nothing. The old keywords were strict: the message had to be exactly 123 and nothing else, no pleases, no thank-yous. Now 123, sum... and port... count anywhere in the sentence, so polite people can get summoned too. If you've changed your keywords, they're left alone; the old defaults are upgraded for you.

Added

  • See who's already on it. When a warlock starts Ritual of Summoning, that player's row turns dim with an orange casting tag for everyone running the addon. No more two warlocks burning two shards on one rogue. Hover the row to see whose summon it is; right-click it anyway and the addon will tell you so before you waste the shard.
  • casting vs sent, explained. casting = a warlock is on it (casting, or standing at the portal waiting for two assists to click the thing). sent = the summon dialog is actually on the player's screen and it's on them now.
  • Tags clean up after themselves. The tag goes away when the cast gets interrupted, the warlock walks off the portal, the player declines, the offer times out, or after 45 seconds of silence.
  • Ctrl+right-click a row to clear a stuck tag for everyone. For when the game does something weird, which it will.

Notes

  • Groups mixing 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 still sync the request list. The new casting tags need 1.0.1 on both ends.
