This broker is meant for those who don't use the standard unit frames and want to have an alternative way of monitoring their pet's happiness.
- Icon: shows one of the three happiness faces or the feeding icon when the feed effect buff is up.
- Text: shows the damage percentage and loyalty rate in numbers.
- Tooltip: shows the damage percentage and loyalty gain in text, and your pet's diet.
Does anyone know how I make this work with elvui? I don't know what I'm supposed to click on in the options to make this pop up.
In reply to Kadaashi:
Pet Happiness is a data broker add-on. In ElvUI you can configure which data broker is used at several panel locations. If I remember correctly ElvUI refers to this as "Data Text". Just select the panel and change the add-on used in the available slot.
how can you pull this up in game
In reply to dinkies123:
You'll need a host add-on that supports data brokers, like ElvUI, TitanPanel, Fortress... see also https://github.com/tekkub/libdatabroker-1-1/wiki/addons-using-ldb
I've downloaded the add on and put it on my Titan Panel. It shows the happiness plugin, but when I hover over it, it doesn't show anything. Do I need to install anything else?
Edit: nevermind. I deleted the nolib version and used the regular one. Thanks!
Will these addons work with ELVui?
In reply to pegasuswingz:
ElvUI supports data broker add-ons.
I cannot get the add-on to work. I download the 4 dependencies: ace3, libstub, callbackhandler, and libdatabroker. The first 3 show up under add-ons when I load the game, but I cannot get the libdatabroker to load. I tried the manual download method and installing via the curse/twitch. Any suggestions?
In reply to beastmode407:
Libraries are embedded so there is no need to install these yourself (unless you install the nolib version which is not recommended). What you're probably missing is an LDB (Lib Data Broker) display add-on. For instance Titan Panel utilizes installed data broker plug-ins which you can enable on one of its information bars.
What is the difference between v1.1 and v1.1nolib?
In reply to DMuhny:
Normally you use v1.1 unless you you maintain and install libraries separately (not recommended) in which case you'll need the nolib build.
showing the XP bar of the pet at tooltip, above diet, and as text opportunity for the LDB would be very nice
I tried installing this addon, along with it's dependencies but when I load into game on my hunter i don't get the window popping up.
Edit: I got it working by enabling it via Titan Panel
Thank you - I was looking for a pet happiness add-on for weeks. This addon looks nice on Titan Panel and is very helpful. My pets thank you as well.
