ADDON STILL IN BETA, expect bugs!
Brawlers' Guild turns duels into a ladder. Duel anyone else who runs it and the result counts for your faction: a rating, a rank from Critter up to King of the Ring, and a place on the ladder for your level bracket. Every month is a new season.
This is a beta, for the beta of World of Warcraft: Forever. The addon is still being tested: expect bugs, and expect things to change from one version to the next. The ladders and their referees are on the Classic Beta PvP 2 realm.

How a duel counts
- Both fighters run the addon. You duel the way you always do; there is nothing to click.
- The loser's addon confirms the loss by itself. Nobody can confirm a loss in someone else's name, so nobody can award themselves a win.
- Your faction's referee makes it official and works out the ratings. If the referee is offline, your addon keeps the result and hands it over later; it still counts for the day it was fought.
- The two fighters must be in the same level bracket.
What you get
- Ladders by level bracket, so a low level never stands above the level cap's fighters. While the game is in beta, where the level cap is 30: 30, 25-29, 20-24, 15-19 and 10-14. At launch: 60, 50-59, 40-49, 30-39, 20-29 and 15-19.
- Eight ranks after ten rated duels in a bracket, each with a badge: Critter, Trash Mob, Rare Spawn, Elite, Rare Elite, Dungeon Boss, World Boss and King of the Ring.
- Monthly seasons. Ratings start again each month; your lifetime record is kept.
- Fighter cards: anyone's rank, rating, record and latest fights.
- Your record against each class and each rival, on your own card.
- A fights feed of every duel across your faction as it happens.
- A challenge board: say you are looking for a duel, see who else is, and call someone out.
- A notice when a notable fight starts near you.
- On hardcore realms, duels to the death are rated too, marked with a skull, with a record of their own.
- The same ladders on the web: https://thebrawlersguild.com
Fair by design
- You can duel the same opponent as often as you like, but repeats count for less each time, and only the first ten a day count at all. Trading wins with a friend gets you nowhere.
- The referee's computer signs the standings. Every copy of the addon checks that signature before it shows a ladder handed on by another player, so a ladder someone edited is never shown.
- Someone who keeps not confirming their losses is marked for it on their card.
- A copy of the addon that floods the referee or the other players is simply ignored past a few messages, and a character can be kept off the ladders for good by a signed list of blocked fighters.
Good to know
- Type
/brawlto open the window, click the guild's emblem on the minimap, or set a key for it in Settings. - Everyone who duels with the addon is listed.
/brawl optouttakes you, and every other character on your game account, off the ladder and out of the standings;/brawl optout offputs you back. Your opponents keep their results against you either way. - The addon talks to other copies of itself with addon messages on a hidden channel and by whisper: your character's name, level, zone and duel results. It never posts in chat, never starts or accepts a duel for you, and never touches the combat log.
- The window's header says who your faction's referee is, and whether they are about.
- Every message the addon sends is described in
PROTOCOL.md, in the addon's folder. - Free and open: MIT licence.
