BlizzFramesPlus is a lightweight quality-of-life addon that enhances Blizzard’s default unit frames while preserving their original look, behavior, and Edit Mode compatibility.

The goal of this addon is not to replace Blizzard’s UI, but to extend it — adding small, practical improvements that feel native, predictable, and fully Blizzard-style.

Design Philosophy

• Blizzard-faithful: Uses Blizzard templates, logic, and lifecycle wherever possible
• Lightweight: No full UI replacement, no heavy re-skinning
• Edit Mode friendly: Works with Blizzard Edit Mode instead of fighting it
• PvP-focused, PvE-safe: Designed with arena play in mind, but safe for all content

If Blizzard already does something well, BlizzFramesPlus does not reinvent it.

Current Features

Unit Frame Enhancements

• Hide Group Indicator (Player Frame)
  Cleanly hides the group indicator on the player frame for a less cluttered UI.
• Optional name handling for Player / Target / Focus frames
  Blizzard-style name adjustments that remain compatible with default behavior.

Arena Frame Enhancements

Blizzard-identical shadow CC trinket
Repositions the arena CC trinket while remaining an exact replica of Blizzard’s original:

• Same icon logic
• Same cooldown behavior
• Same Edit Mode preview behavior
  Blizzard remains the source of truth; BlizzFramesPlus only controls positioning and visibility.
• Arena frame spacing options
  Adjust spacing between arena frames without breaking Blizzard layout logic.

Party & Raid Frame Enhancements

Custom out-of-range alpha (party frames)
Overrides Blizzard’s default out-of-range fading using Blizzard’s own update hooks, ensuring:

• No flickering
• No conflicts with Edit Mode
• No impact on nameplates or raid frames unless enabled

Recommended Settings Module

A dedicated Recommended panel that suggests Blizzard-safe defaults

Clearly shows:

• Current value
• One-click “Use Recommended” button
• Designed to help users avoid unsafe or conflicting configurations

What This Addon Does Not Do
