Blinkiis Portraits

Stylized 2D portraits for supported World of Warcraft unit frames — Retail and Classic.

Blinkiis Portraits attaches stylized 2D portraits to the unit frames you already use. Whether you want a cleaner Blizzard inspired look, decorative fantasy frames, class icons, or fully custom portrait textures, the addon gives you a lot of control without making setup complicated.

It is a standalone addon. It does not replace your unit frames, it hooks onto them, so your existing layout stays exactly where it is.

What It Adds

• Portraits for player, target, focus, target of target, pet, party, boss, and arena, wherever the selected frame addon provides those units.
• A library of 32 portrait shapes covering Blizzard style, circular, geometric, mirrored, and decorative variants.
• 58 extra overlay textures for embellishments and for rare, elite, boss, and player states.
• Class icon display with five built in icon styles and support for custom class icon packs.
• Custom portrait textures, masks, and extra masks from your own files.
• Per unit settings for size, anchor point, layer, frame level, mirroring, cast icon display, and color behavior.
• Profile export and import as a shareable string, with optional author, name, and version metadata.

Requirements

• World of Warcraft Retail/Mainline, Mists of Pandaria Classic, Wrath Classic, The Burning Crusade Classic, or Classic Era
• One of the supported unit frame addons listed below

Coverage depends on what each frame addon exposes. Some integrations provide party and arena frames, others only single unit frames. If you use more than one supported addon at the same time, pick the parent frame manually in the options.

Installation

CurseForge / Addon Manager

Install Blinkiis Portraits with your preferred addon manager and make sure one of the supported unit frame addons is installed as well.

Manual Installation

1. Download the latest packaged release.
2. Extract the addon folder.
3. Place Blinkiis_Portraits inside your WoW addons directory:

World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\

1. Make sure the final folder name stays exactly Blinkiis_Portraits.
2. Start the game and open the options with /bp.

Configuration

All addon settings are available in:

/bp

Alternatively open Game Menu > Options > AddOns > Blinkii's Portraits.

Portraits

• 32 bundled shapes such as Blizzard style, circle, cookie, diagonal, diamond, drop, egg, hexagon, leaf, octagon, page, pentagon, shield, square, trapezoid, oval, rectangular, and moon
• Mirrored variants for most asymmetric shapes
• Per unit size, anchor point, layer, frame level, and mirroring
• Optional desaturation and zoom
• Custom texture and mask paths for anyone who wants to extend the system with their own assets

Extras and Overlays

• 58 decorative overlays including dragon, snake, star, fire, plants, dogs, space, and animal themes
• Blizzard style gold, silver, elite, boss, and neutral borders
• Classification driven overlays for rare, elite, boss, and player units
• Cast icon display per unit

Class Icons

• Five built in icon styles: blizzard, hd, new, simple, and simple border
• Support for custom class icon packs registered by other addons or by yourself
• Per unit option to skip class icons and keep the portrait

Profiles

• Export a profile as a shareable string
• Import profiles from other users
• Store optional profile information such as author, profile name, and version

Handy for keeping personal presets, sharing layouts with friends, or bundling recommended profiles with a UI pack.
