BetterTracker (0.6.0)
What's new
BetterTracker 0.6.0
Added
- Scrollable Tracker: Reach entries beyond the tracker's visible height with the mouse wheel, scrollbar arrows, or a slim Blizzard-style scrollbar.
- Custom Tracker Width: Adjust horizontal space from 200 to 600 Pixels without resizing text, icons, or quest item buttons. Height and position remain controlled by Edit Mode.
- Manual Refresh: Use
/bt refreshto rebuild the tracker and request recovery from a stalled update queue without resetting settings.
Fixed
- Added recovery for native update queues left stalled by a failed layout, allowing later events to update the tracker.
- Improved restoration of Blizzard's headings, spacing, module parents, and original width when BetterTracker is disabled.
- Fixed clipping and horizontal drift when the scrollbar appears, disappears, or Custom Tracker Width is toggled.
- Kept scroll positioning consistent when Blizzard refreshes unprotected tracker sections during combat. Changes requiring protected frames are deferred until combat ends.
- Dismissed collapsed-zone previews and header hints when dragging the scrollbar or using its arrows.
- Cleared the scrollbar and viewport when all tracker sections are removed.
Updated
- Width labels now spell out Pixels.
- Updated documentation and expanded regression checks for scrolling, width restoration, combat updates, and layout recovery.
- Existing settings are preserved when upgrading.
This release targets WoW Forever 1.60.1 / Interface 16001.
