BetterBlizzSkins

BetterBlizzSkins is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that reskins Blizzard’s Objective Tracker and gives many Blizzard windows a clean, flat look. It has its own options window and uses almost no CPU. It works on Retail (Midnight) and WoW Forever.

Features

Objective Tracker

• Header styles: dozens of Blizzard header atlases (Horde, Alliance, Shadowlands and Dragonflight campaigns, renown, scenario headers and more), plus 20 original BBS headers made for this addon: Horde Ember, Alliance Azure, Fel Fire, Arcane Violet, Frostbound, Void Shadow, Holy Light, Emerald Dream, Bloodrite, Titan Forge, Nerubian Web, Abyssal Tide, Bronze Timeways, Infernal Lava, Earthen Stone, Gnomish Steel, Jade Serpent, Elune Moonlight, Midnight Sunwell and Dragonscale.
• Accent colour: every header style has a matching accent colour. Borders, bars, buttons and window skins all follow it.
• Background: colour, opacity, fit to your quests, padding, border thickness, gradient and soft shadow.
• Fonts: custom font, size and outline for section headers and quest text. LibSharedMedia fonts are used if another addon provides them.
• Quest title colours: colour titles by quest type (normal, campaign, daily/weekly, world quest) or by difficulty. Finished quests and completed objectives can have their own colours.
• Bars and buttons: flat progress and timer bars with your choice of texture and colour, plus clean − / + collapse buttons.
• Scenario / Delve box and quest pop-ups: keep Blizzard’s look, or switch to flat or header art.

Blizzard Windows (flat skin)

Flat background, a title band with your header art, a thin accent border and flat tabs for:

• Character, Spellbook & Talents, Professions, Profession Crafting Window, Bags, Group Finder, Collections, Adventure Guide and Social
• World Map & Quest Log: this includes the map breadcrumb dropdowns and the quest log zone headers.

You can turn each window on or off separately, and set opacity, colour and whether portraits show.

Plays nice with other addons

BetterBlizzSkins detects other skin addons, such as ElvUI, EllesmereUI (Blizzard Skin, Quest Tracker, Bags, Friends, Group Finder), ChonkyCharacterSheet, Kaliel’s Tracker, NDui, Aurora and bag addons. By default it steps aside for anything they already skin, so the two never fight. The options window shows exactly which addon skins what. For ElvUI, it even reads ElvUI’s own skin switches.

Lightweight

• No embedded libraries, so other addons’ library usage isn’t counted against BetterBlizzSkins.
• No timers or OnUpdate loops. The tracker is re-skinned only when Blizzard actually rebuilds a section.
• Windows are skinned once, and nothing is changed during combat.

Profiles and preview

• Use one profile for every character, or give a character its own copy.
• A live preview window shows your settings on sample tracker lines.

Usage

• /bbs: open the BetterBlizzSkins options window
• /bbs preview: show or hide the preview window
• /bbs reskin: re-apply all skins
• /bbs help: list the commands

Compared with your old text, I took out three things the addon no longer has: the /bbskins command (it’s now /bbs), the Apply / reload button (changes apply instantly), and setting a style by typing it in chat.
