BetterNamePlates
BetterNamePlates is a lightweight, opinionated nameplate addon for World of Warcraft Retail. It delivers a clean, Mythic+ focused presentation without the configuration menus, scripting systems, and additional features found in larger nameplate addons.
The addon comes with one carefully designed profile. There are no settings to configure.
Install it, enable it, and play.

- Role-aware threat coloring for tanks, healers, and damage dealers
- Distinct caster, lieutenant, rare-elite, and boss colors

- Yellow interruptible casts

- Green marker showing when your interrupt becomes available during a cast
- Spell icons and remaining cast time

- Automatic filtering of unhelpful passive effects

- No configuration interface or saved profile management
Getting Started
1. Install BetterNamePlates.
2. Enable it from the character selection AddOns menu.
3. Enter the game and use /reload if necessary.
4. Ensure enemy nameplates are enabled with the default V keybind.
Design Philosophy
BetterNamePlates is intentionally not a general-purpose nameplate framework. It provides one fixed visual and gameplay profile designed for clear combat information with minimal overhead.
If you like the profile, use it. If you want extensive customization, another nameplate addon may suit you better.
