BeaconPath

The add-on helps players answer a simple question:

“Is this character unlocked for this raid or dungeon?”

BeaconPath reads standard World of Warcraft character, quest, achievement, lockout, campaign, and map data to display access status, prerequisite information, completion state, and verified entrance-location information where available.

BeaconPath does not:

• automate movement
• control the player’s character
• automate combat
• interact with protected actions
• launch external websites
• transmit or collect user data

Navigation features use standard World of Warcraft map and BeaconPath APIs. For many raids from Warlords of Draenor through The War Within, BeaconPath can open the relevant map or direct the player toward a verified entrance location. Coverage for earlier expansions is still being expanded.

The add-on is event-driven and does not perform constant background scanning. Progress information is refreshed at login, on relevant game events, or when the player manually requests a refresh.

BeaconPath 1.x is primarily an access-status tool. More detailed quest-giver guidance, map pins, travel routing, and step-by-step unlock assistance are planned for future updates.

Known issue: The mini-map icon position may occasionally reset after a UI reload. The icon remains functional and can be shown or hidden through BeaconPath settings or slash commands.
