Minimal action bars for WoW Forever.
BarTrail adds your own action bars, lets you move or hide Blizzard's bars, and binds keys by hovering a button. Nothing else.
Right click the minimap button (or type /btr). Every movable element gets a glowing outline with its name.
- Drag an element to move it.
- Right click a bar: button width and height, position X/Y, size (%), number of buttons (1-12), visibility (always, on mouseover, in combat, faded out of combat), as dropdowns like Blizzard's, vertical or horizontal.
- Left click a bar: delete it. On Blizzard's elements: hide it (they keep the game's own scale).
- Right click on Blizzard's elements: position X/Y; the experience and cast bars also get a width (even, 50 to the screen's width), the buff and debuff frames the direction of their icons.
- Blizzard's elements are the same as in the HUD Edit Mode (bars, unit frames, chat, minimap...), plus the gryphons of action bar 1.
- Add bar (toolbar at the top) creates a new bar at the center of the screen.
- Ctrl+Z undoes the last change; Cancel puts everything back as it was when the edit mode opened.
- Layout (toolbar at the top): the Edit Mode layouts, as in Blizzard's Edit Mode: switch, new, copy, rename, delete, export and import. A change applies after a reload (offered).
- Hidden elements are listed at the top of the screen: click one to show it again.
- Placing aids (second row of the toolbar): screen halves and a centered screen grid (its size is always even), sticky grid (elements stick to the halves first, then to the grid) and sticky elements (an element aligns its edges or center on its closest neighbour, with guide lines; docked edge to edge it becomes its child: moving the parent moves its children; a child can be detached with a left click). Hold Shift to drag freely; the arrow keys nudge the last clicked element (Shift: 10).
Left click the minimap button (or /btr bind). Hover a button, ours or Blizzard's, and press a key, a mouse button or the mouse wheel. If the key is already used, BarTrail tells you by what and lets you overwrite it, choose another key or cancel. Right click clears a button's key. Escape cancels or leaves.
- Edit and keybind modes close when you enter combat; changes wait until combat ends.
- Blizzard's frames are never hidden with
Hide()(that taints the game's code): they are moved under a hidden frame instead. - Everything follows the active HUD Edit Mode layout: positions of Blizzard's elements are saved in that layout itself (except on the read-only preset layouts), and your bars and hidden elements are kept per layout.
/btr minimapshows or hides the minimap button.
