What's new

MissionAccomplished 1.8.8

This release strengthens gear advice and gives the maintained MissionAccomplished UI a consistent addon-owned visual system while preserving its Classic Era behavior and SavedVariables compatibility.

  • Adds a three-mode One Bag → Grouped → Legacy cycle, with original icons and a return button beside the native backpack in Legacy mode. View changes do not sort or move items; Legacy remains a per-character view choice, separate from disabling the addon.
  • Uses large 40px circular gold-framed bag view buttons with current/next-action hover tooltips, and reserves enough row height to keep the dropdowns and search clear. The Legacy return button sits to the right of the native backpack.
  • Keeps bag controls inside small layouts and quick-launch shortcuts at their normal 32px size, independently of inventory tile size and column settings.
  • Makes all eight Quick Launch slots visible with persistent thin gold outlines and dark backgrounds, including when empty.
  • Gives the Bank Snapshot control a custom chest-and-ledger icon and matching 36px circular gold frame, without changing its read-only action or increasing bag-window whitespace.
  • Restores Quick Launch's native secure item-use handler while preventing assignment, right-click clearing, or drag release from consuming the assigned item. In combat, left click uses the existing shortcut; assignment and clearing remain unavailable.
  • Adds dedicated OneBag search and consistent Bankert snapshot search by literal item name, ID or category, including clear no-match feedback.
  • Separates bank snapshot Source (including Bags + Bank) from Layout (One Bag, Categories, Tiers), with matching icons and panel titles. The Live Bags switch explicitly controls the current character instead of the saved snapshot.
  • Consolidates bag organization into guarded transactions that verify each move, preserve held cursors and item variants, prioritize ammo/profession bags, and pack holes tightly within each bag.
  • Refits standalone windows on reopen and display/UI-scale changes while preserving requested scale and layering them above passive HUD.
  • Removes excess standalone window space: Armory wraps its character/stats canvas, Event Log follows wrapped entry height, and Bankert follows its visible item grid. Longer content remains scrollable, with unchanged text sizes and Suite layouts.
  • Keeps window panels above Classic's separate action-bar hotkey text layer, without modifying native action buttons or obscuring addon dropdowns.
  • Restores per-event icons in new log entries and supplies the shipped fallback when banner artwork is missing or fails to load.
  • Adds Menagerie's original pet-food icon and click-to-feed Hunter button left of the native pet portrait. It automatically selects basic food, but never feeds in the background; buff food, cooking materials, held cursors and combat remain protected.
  • Gives the feed button a circular 34px footprint, masked food icon, opaque navy backing, and persistent gold ring, tucked against the pet frame's bottom-left edge and readable even when feeding is unavailable.
  • Recognizes ten verified plain cooked meat/fish foods in the feed button, including Charred Wolf Meat and Roasted Boar Meat; preserves raw-ingredient, buff-food, quest-item, and combat protections.
  • Anchors the secure pet-feed button to the native pet frame instead of its portrait texture, preventing the client's protected-frame anchor error. Bag and pet updates no longer reopen a tooltip that was dismissed by moving away.
  • Makes gear ratings consistent for the player's level and actual weapon role without changing raw stat priorities or upgrade ordering, including correct equipped off-hand and paired-slot scoring.
  • Accounts for hit chance already supplied by other equipped items when evaluating a swap, including both hands displaced by a two-hander. Queued upgrades share the remaining cap allowance, but each displayed gain still reflects actual worn gear; incomplete context requires manual review.
  • Adds build-aware gear advice and guarded upgrade confirmations in Mahler's Armory, with native candidate and equipped-item tooltip panes side by side and a signed gain/loss bar.
  • Gives recommendations Equip / Pass choices. Explicit Equip accepts the disclosed item's binding or refund/trade restrictions, then verifies the equipment change before advancing. Unrelated confirmations and automatic equips never borrow that consent.
  • Remembers Pass per character across reloads and logins, preventing repeat prompts and automatic equips for the same item. Optimize can explicitly review passed items without clearing their saved decisions.
  • Reconciles multiple upgrades into a deduplicated queue, retains loot arriving during pending equips, and refreshes moved bag items. Filters Pass before ranking so the next-best upgrade and correct ring slot remain available; rebuilds after each equip to prevent stale automatic swaps, with failures returning to manual review.
  • Reads binding state from the actual bag item, avoiding false permanent-binding warnings for already-soulbound upgrades; generic link comparisons do not pretend to know a particular item's bound state.
  • Adds read-only hover comparisons for usable gear, including downgrades and ties, with faint item-icon backgrounds. Hovering never equips gear or changes the upgrade-confirmation queue.
  • Hides the duplicate standard item tooltip while a custom hover comparison is visible, with immediate restoration for dismissed/failed previews, non-item tooltips, combat, and native shopping comparisons.
  • Keeps gear gain/loss colors clear with a neutral owned bar fill, preserving the rest of the Suite's themed status bars.
  • Keeps comparison captions and weights clear of the item cards' gold frame ornaments, with consistent padding in both comparison views.
  • Reads supported unconditional equip bonuses, including caster damage, healing, mana regeneration, hit, and critical strike, without duplicating structured item stats. Unsupported, conditional, proc, use, and set effects retain partial confidence across the entire equipment exchange.
  • Recovers primary stats and armor omitted by the client's structured item API, including random-suffix Agility, while preserving explicit API values. Refreshes stale comparisons, honors Pass decisions after cache updates, and resumes deferred advice after combat.
  • Fixes Bankert's cursor-item sell-protection toggle so protecting or unprotecting an item reports the result without a Lua error.
  • Recalibrates all 168 gear reference values using the same reader and scorer as live advice. These are client-table reference bands, not guaranteed obtainable Classic Era best-in-slot rankings; the retained sample includes other-mode and temporary items.
  • Adds Noctis route-context NPC/item tooltip hints and quest-reward comparisons when Mahler's Armory is available; reward selection remains the player's choice.
  • Adds a matched shared control family for buttons, close controls, scrollbars, dropdowns, checkboxes, radio buttons, sliders, tabs, dividers, status bars, icon slots, resize grips, direction arrows, and minimap rings.
  • Replaces Blizzard's global dropdown popup chrome with a scoped MissionAccomplished menu that supports bounded scrolling for long option lists.
  • Moves maintained visual chrome away from fixed Blizzard decorative textures while retaining behavior-critical protected and secure templates where the client requires them.
  • Keeps standalone content, right-edge controls, scrollbars, and close controls inside the themed safe area and above scrollable content.
  • Standardizes content clearance at 40px for outer panels, 24px for inset panels, and 20px horizontal/12px vertical for compact strips; scrolling areas reserve their own scrollbar lane.
  • Reflows talent trees, Menagerie cards, bag panels, and settings to fit those bounds, and corrects texture tint ordering so watermark opacity is preserved.
  • Places Spiritwalkers Path's scrollbar in its reserved right-hand gutter so Auto-assign and the talent content cannot overlap its track or arrows.
  • Preserves the Suite header emblem's complete pointed silhouette by removing an inappropriate circular texture mask.
  • Enforces readable physical UI and HUD scales, gives compact buttons correct nine-slice margins, and keeps module watermarks behind rather than across body text.
  • Repairs short Guild Functions rosters, growing One Bag grids, compact sliders and dividers, circular minimap highlights, and Mahler's Armory empty-slot presentation.
  • Constrains long Gavrial's Call notifications to the banner's padded text bounds and preserves Gavrial's optional detached movable XP bar, with a corrected default position above the player's name plate.
  • Hides Gavrial's faded transient banner so it cannot intercept clicks and gives its unsaved default position a clear lane below Suite and Noctis chrome.
  • Keeps Gavrial's pinned current step readable at its minimum size and exposes any omitted details through a visible hover affordance.
  • Keeps Menagerie demon portraits and abilities visible with validated companion-specific icon fallbacks when model or spell textures are unavailable or uncached.
  • Moves the selected pet's tier badge into its own padded card-header slot so it no longer covers Hunter models or Warlock portraits.
  • Raises the Hunt compass and matching prey-disc fills by 4 UI pixels to center them inside the Hunter and Warlock bezels, without moving or resizing the decorative frames and arrows.
  • Automatically prepares Hunter Hunt's exact-name targeting macro when a hunt starts or changes; Target prey executes it on a real click with no manual Save step, attack, or tame command. Ending a hunt clears the secure action and disarms the owned character macro.
  • Fixes Hunt clicks when action-bar key-down mode is enabled, recognizes already-selected wild prey, rejects owned pets as hunt sightings, and reports failed nearby targeting honestly. Macro-slot conflicts preserve user macros and retain the button's safe inline action.
  • Replaces Noctis's question-mark bearing placeholder with an owned owl state, aligns its lower card edge, and preserves full current and Up Next text in hover details when compact labels are ellipsized.
  • Uses deterministic, provenance-documented asset builders for the shared panel and controls, the Noctis owl compass, and the distinct Hunter and Warlock Menagerie compasses.
  • Adds explicit Core theme-API compatibility guards and expands dual-runtime LuaUnit coverage for the repaired UI and control behavior.
  • Preserves Noctis Guides' 75 bundled routes with 11,651 .goto directives and Spiritwalkers Path's 94 curated builds, including Hardcore choices for every Classic class.

Compatibility: World of Warcraft Classic Era 1.15.9 (Interface 11509), Lua 5.1.

Automated compilation, linting, unit, metadata, asset, and archive checks complement but do not replace final in-game smoke checks for protected actions, combat lockdown, taint, XML layout, and real event payloads.
